Re: What did you buy in May 2010?
Let's see...
Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Gelly (for the Aloe Grow, so I haven't opened it yet.)
Giovanni Direct SAS and 50/50 conditioners
Essential oils (Sage, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Peppermint)
Carrier oils (Jojoba, Sweet Almond, Grapeseed, Castor)
Alikay Naturals Essential 17 Growth Oil (I bought more so I can figure out what oils make it work so I can hack it.)
Yes To Cucumbers Conditioner (hopeful replacement for the Giovannni 50/50)
Hits:
--Giovanni Direct SAS. I've actually been using this for a few weeks as a DC, and I love it. I like what it does by itself, but I mix it with coconut oil, honey and some peppermint oil.
--Rosemary essential oil: This stuff, is THE BUSINESS. I love the smell of Rosemary: the tea, I have a Rosemary PLANT in my apartment, and the oil smells very nice. Like a semi-sweet smell. Not the same as ACTUAL roses, it's not as strong. Plays nice with Lavender, Sage, and Eucalyptus. Not sure about Clary Sage though (which smells more like a deep merlot (red wine)).
--Alikay Naturals Essential 17 Growth Oil. I don't want to call this a "hit", because you CAN get other "growth aids" like it (Wild Grow or a homemade concoction) but it's not a "miss" either. It does what it's supposed to, but I KNOW that a homemade oil mix can assist in growth. Therefore, the hacking will begin once I get the NECESSARY ingredients (the ones that make the product work) together.
Misses:
--Giovanni Direct 50/50. More like 0/0 as in, it didn't do ANYTHING to my hair. I like that it's pH balanced, but I've used Nature's Gate conditioners (also pH balanced) and actually got something out of it. I didn't get ANYTHING from the Giovanni 50/50. It actually DRIES my hair out a little. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] So I'll be giving it to a co-worker, who is relaxed.
That's about it. Unless I'm forgetting something...which I don't think so. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

KNH, I haven't received them yet. I don't expect to get them until around the 31st. I'm sure I'll love them though. Their products are amazing, but the processing time can be soooo long. You just have to buy and then put it out of your mind.

Re: What did you buy in May 2010?
I have done some damage EVERY month and I know now that I'm 100% natural its going to get worse! lol Qhemet Biologics had a Spring Sale on 5/7 and I've been dying to try their amla heavy cream. I ended getting that plus the Egyptian wheatgrass cleansing tea and Cocoa Tree detangling Ghee. Then I saw that L'oreal (or is it Garnier Fructis--I don't feel like getting up to check my stash, lol) has the Fortifying sulfate free conditioner, I bought it b/c it said "New". I was anticipating my bc, so last week I bought the 8 oz bottle of KCCC.
I am telling myself, ENOUGH, ENOUGH. I just finished the A.O. White Camellia and I was like finally, I've finished a bottle of something. I am going to start telling myself "Walk away from the hair aisles, WALK AWAY!" I'm so SAD. LOL
