Re: Frustrated?
I'm frustrated with my extra super sloooooow growth.. seems my hair doesn't want to grow past shoulder length and I don't know why. I'm going to attempt let it grow for another year and a half (I've been growing since Feb. 2008 and I just made it to slightly above SL in Mar. 2010) and if it's not hanging below my shoulders by then I'm chopping it back to a twa.
Re: Frustrated?
@BekkaPoo: I was stuck at the length for years. I am convinced that it was because I was always wearing my hair out and down so the ends were constantly breaking. When I started wearing my hair up (in buns), I saw tremendous growth
Re: Frustrated?
Tiashautee: I did the bunning thing for close to a year (like 8-10 mos. of 2009), and then I got lots of breakage even with using protein conditioners and amla.. so I don't know what I should or could do to prevent that while still protecting my ends.
Btw, I love your hair and the styles you do..

Re: Frustrated?
@BekkaPoo: thank you!
I was scared I was going to get breakage when was bunning so I was careful not to do them to tight and take them down on the weekends. I did get breakage when I followed some advice to take my buns down nightly I now know that technique is not for me. It was too much manipulation

Re: Frustrated?
Thanks Tia. I'm doing better though because in the past when I was frustrated I'd call my stylist for ye ole faithful press and curl. Now I do cute puff, stick a flower in it and call it a day. I figure my bad hair days are better than alot of folks' best hair days.

Yesterday at 4:32 pmThe thing that frustrates me is the
same thing that excites me: the unpredictability. On a day that I
really need to look good, I kind of dread what surprise my hair will
have in store for me, b/c a good hair day one day does not guarantee a
good one the next (even if I do the same thing). On days when it
doesn't really matter, I get a bit excited about what my hair plans on
doing, because it's kind of an adventure. I'm hoping to get so that I
can embrace the adventure no matter what.
This is what frustrates me also. Like today I have somewhere to go, n this twist out is looking...eh...
