I didn't even realized you BC'd a few days after me!! My 1 year nappiversary was just this past Thursday on the 16th! Woot woot!! So Happy Nappiversary and let the good times roll for all the years to come

I knew my hair was growing but to see the pics from BC to now is amazing. So glad I'm retaining length and getting my hair healthy!

Great info!

One reason I wanted to go natural (way back when) was to color my hair. As practically a life-long relaxer head, I always feared color...I didn't want my hair to fall out! LOL I colored it once and it felt like straw, so I said, "Not again!"

But, you never know...your's looks so good on you (plus I can hit you up for insider tips)!! Very Happy

And now, I do understand the care that goes into colored hair. Hmmmm! ;-)

Thanks RYL1! I have really fine hair so the first time I did it on relaxed hair, I was terrified. I guess not too terrified because I went blonde lol but I loved it and it didn't damage my hair at all. I've been hooked ever since Very Happy

So as promised, I said when I straightened my hair again I would post more pics so here they are:

I love it, it has so much body and I also love that it grew in layers of its own, pretty cool. I went bone straight this time. I did a protein treatment and an overnight dc. Today I blowdried it on high heat and straightened using my Instyler on high. I left my heat protectant at home so I didn't use one this time. Hopefully my hair reverts, I think it will though.

I haven't posted an updated regimen in quite some time so here's what is working for me at the moment:

PrePoo:Hairveda's Vatika Frosting
Shampoo: Clarifying- Suave Daily Clarifying Poo / Moisturizing- Creme of Nature Ultra Moisturizing Poo
DC: Silk Element's Megasilk Moisturizing Treatment (this stuff is AMAZING, definitely a staple)
Cowash: Aussie Moist (staple) or Herbal Essences Totally Twisted
Styler: Qhemet's Amla and Olive Heavy Cream (staple), Safi Haircare's Avocado Shea Butter (staple), Aloe Vera Gel and Ecostyler (for edges)
Oils: Jojoba (staple), Olive and Coconut Oils
Protein Treatment: Aphogee 2 Step Protein Treatment or Hairveda's MethiSativa Step 1 Protein Masque
