Cute protective style!! I've been thinking about trying to find something else to do with my hair too, the problem is a lot of times when I'm trying something new, I get lazy in the middle of it and stop and do an old familiar style

Hey J! Hope you are enjoying the summer "break" we get before the fall. How did your summer classes go? I wound up with an A in one class and B in another (I was like at an 88...which is soooo close to an A but too far away to beg for the points from the professor lol)
By the way, are you a fan of sweets? I may be starting a mail order bakery business in the near future and will need someguinea pigs....I mean product testers lol

Hey there! I ended up with a B and a freaking C. It was like a 78 or 79. Ugh, I hate when that happens but oh well. She isnt one of those teachers thats nice and will just go on up to an 80. lol
Im not a huge fan of sweets but I definitely would buy to support your company.

Re: jlowman1: SHORT UPDATE 3/18 =)
UPDATE: *sorry for such a long post, had alot to say!*
Had a little setback. I trimmed about a week or two ago and I made my hair so uneven. Well I had to do ANOTHER trim to correct that one and I lost quite a bit of hair in the process, probably about 1-1 1/2 inches. I can definitely tell when my hair is wet. I've also noticed that since this trim, my hair has been soooo dry. I haven't the slightest idea why. I've been deep conditioning like crazy and it still hasnt been back to the way it was pre-trim. I bought some Hello Hydration to use as leave in, that usually helps with my dryness so we'll see.
Next, I have realized that just sleeping on a satin pillowcase with loose hair is a NO NO for me. My hair is always so tangled and matted in the morning. So much so that I cant refresh with a spray bottle which has lead to me co-washing everyday. So yea, satin bonnets will be my best friend from this point on.
I've been experimenting with this protective style thing and I like it. My most recent style called
FlowerBunch via MahoganyKnots on Youtube. First I stretched my hair with two braids. The next day I took them down then braided all my hair to the left side of my head then did individual braids where they met. (my hair is thin, hence the spacing on the individuals) I put a little Motions Wrap Foam on the ends then used perm rods to curl them. I liked how it turned out. Hopefully I can keep this style up for a week. Here are the pics:

Have a wonderful week ladies!

ohh! you did the protective style i tried but my arms got tired after row 5 of two strand twisting side ways. But i kept it in for two weeks. you did a great job. I only use a satin bonnet and satin scarf. I've been looking for a satin pillow case but maybe i will stick with what i got.

Thanks NP! I went and picked up one STAT! I had lost my other and thought just sleeping on the pillowcase would suffice. Boy was I wrong!

Oh yes prettydimples style was cute and she said it only took her 2 hours. honey child! it would take me half a day to do it as small as she did and she blew out her hair first. I can dream of one day trying it. i would keep it in for a few weeks.

Hey J! Hope your first day of class (if you have Monday classes) is going well! My first day will be tomorrow since I have Tues, Wed. and Thurs. classes this semester. I'm sure you're stalking your account for the financial aid dispursement (again ) like I am. Have a good one!
Re: jlowman1: SHORT UPDATE 3/18 =)

Hey Janet! My classes seem like they are gonna be ok, a little tough but I'll make it through. How much longer do you have before you get your Masters? and what is your Thesis topic going to be?

If everything goes according to plan I'll be graduating in May! My thesis is going to be about whether there is a bias towards lighter or darker skinned African Americans in job interviews. I think I already know what the results will be but it's going to be SOOO much work!

How exciting, that sounds very interesting!
If I decide to get my Masters, I think my thesis would probably be something hair related, I feel like I've become obsessed with it. lol
