Short Styles...

Hola Chicas!

I'm very new to dealing with my natural hair (this is week 1), I had a perm from age 6-27. My hair is fairly short and I'm looking for some style ideas, I'm interested in some funky up do's or any styles that will last at least for a few days...

So far I've tried...
...a twist out (fail)
...wash n go (it only looked good wet, but it's winter in the Chi)
...and a roller set (sucess at last!)

Do you know how to flat twist or braid? If so maybe you could flat twist or cornrow the very front a rollerset the back since you already know how to do that and like the results.

I have about 2 inches of stretched hair and just recently started wearing a puff. I use those ouchless rubberband headbands that you can get from Walmart. You can also try flat twist with a puff in the back, or coils. I haven't tried any of them yet, but do plan to in the future.

Thanks ladies, I'm trying to learn how to do flat twist and french braids, but it's difficult. I did however try to do another twist out and the results were much better!

I tried a rollerset and like it. I LOVED it even better as it got bigger. I am a HUGE fan of hair accessories(headbands, combs, clips, etc). They help me from getting bored with my hair.

Yes, I'm getting into the hair accessories thing, it really helps jazz up the short do's!

i can't wait... mine is a couple inches stretched too and I want to do a roller set SO bad... I figure byt he end of January I will have a lil summ'n summ'n to work with. LOL
