Re: Mz. Thang
Thanks you KNH
So yesterday after kick boxing class (which was great) I decided I was going to do my first overnight DC. So I got in the shower and just wet my hair. Then decided I was going to put the condish in sections. I use AOHSR now the other two times that I have used this I really didn't care for it. I put it in six sections and saturated each section well, twisted them up and pinned. I put a plastic cap, satin scarf, shower cap, and bonnet on top trying to control drips. While I was up watch ABDC I started getting a major head ache and the DC had been in for about 4hrs. After about 30mins the head ache started getting worst....so I felt there was no way I could leave it in all nite I would never get any sleep. I rinsed each individual twist and dried with some paper towels(need a better method) and my hair was soooo soft, curls were so defined......
Long story short lesson learned don't just give up on a product until you have fully given it a chance.
Oh yea I'm totally jealous that everyone has new avatars j/p hope you all are enjoying all the little things in life or just enjoying life (period)

I'm glad it worked for you...third time's the charm! lol ITA with you. Just because a product seems to do nothing for your hair the first couple times, that doesn't mean that it's a bad product. Sometimes it could be the humidity, your hair's moisture level, etc. that could affect the product's performance. Have you ever heard of the t-shirt method for drying your hair?

Thanks Latoya great advice cause I definitely didn't know that many things could affect product performance.
In hair news I went to whole foods again the other day and that place still feels so overwhelming to me. I called myself going to purchase a new product cause I need some things for styling when I don't feel like mixing soooo....I left with nothin of course again....(long story) but any ways I plan on doing some medium twist this week cause it's suppose to rain all week and hopefully that give me more time to get some things together.
Hope you ladies are have a fab weekend

Hey Shee thanks for stopping thru
I haven't done anything to my hair cause for some reason I'm still adjusting to the time change. So soon as I have been getting home I would go straight to sleep. Today I found this website that gives great info on the ingredients in cosmetic products and rates them from 0-10 in hazards. Just google "Skin Deep". I also found an all natural product that is rather cheap called Curls by Sister Smith that I may try.
Hope u all are having great weeks cause the weather is so beautiful out here and sunshine definitely makes me happy

Re: Mz. Thang
Absolutely nothin new with the hair ladies SORRY
Okay this has been a bad week for me and Lynnie nope u r not alone. I woke up today with a horrible head ache that is causing serious problems and the fact that it won't go away with meds has me thinking it might be sinus problems. But in good news I got an acceptance letter today and the school called me as well if I didn't have this major headache I would be running around here screaming and jumping(insided I'm going crazy). I'm so happy right now even through the pain.
I feel as though I am definitely a step closer to my goals and on my way

Re: Mz. Thang
Thanks ladies I can finally scream and shout cause I feel good today
Ok not sure where to start cause I have so much to be excited about. Today I did my hair in two strand flat twist and it turned out good yay for me . Also one of my co-worker surprised me and bought me a hair dryer I almost cried I was totally caught off guard. So I'm definitely gonna be going hair style crazy now. I also found out Target has curls and Jane Carter So I am definitely on cloud nine now even though these are small things to some I take every good thing and enjoy them to the max So hope all you ladies are having a fab day and life is truly what you make it.

Hooray for Jane Carter being at Target!!!! Man I'll be able to get all the products I've always wanted to try at either Target, Wal Mart or Whole Foods now!! That's so exciting
I'm finding joy in the small things too! It makes me think of that Hannah Montanah song: Life's what you make it so let's make it rock!!

@Sweets Thank You
@Bholmes Target is closer to me than whole foods so when I don't want to make the drive I can just go down the street.
@Tia I know she is a very sweet lady and I have quite a few moms at my job because I am so much younger than everyone else. I haven't used it yet cause I want to do a rollerset but its been rainy down here lately.
HAPPY MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY LADIES
So in hair news yesterday I rocked a side bun with a flower and when I took it down my hair was so soft and shiny I decided that I had to do something with it so it can be out. Soooo I braided it up and I decided to do a side part inspired by one of the ladies on here.
When I woke up this morning and took it down I was happy.
I realize now to achieve good results with my hair that I must put products in sections at a time. My hair is so thick that the product doesn't get distribute evenly if I put it in all at once like I use to do when it was shorter.
Hope you ladies are having a good day and I decided to call today a motivational monday because mondays for me are sometimes a struggle . I need motivation to get through the day cause its the first day back to work and there is usually a lot to do.
