anxious transitioner!

Hey everyone! Im only 7 weeks into my transition but I am already so anxious! I just got Nubian twists so i probably wont see my hair again until I am 3 months into my transition but I really think I'm going to want all natural hair at that point. Has anyone BC'd after 4 months? If so did u have enough hair to do twist outs and stuff? Also, I took a pic a couple of weeks ago and it just happened to come out looking like I didn't have hair, take a look! Would I be cute with a short cut?

Yes, some women chose to BC at 4 months. I'm thinking about it myself actually. 4 months of new growth is about 2-2 1/2 inches of hair. This would be called the TWA, or teeny weeny afro. In my opinion, I think this is enough to do a flat twist-out. You'd have to be very careful when twisting it though because you'd pretty much be pulling your hair really tight to grip it, which could cause damage. Just keep in mind that a twist-out on 2 inches of hair is going to look very different from one done on, say, 8 inches of hair.. MahoganyCurls, a member of this site, has some great TWA styling tips. Hey DreChic! Congrats on your decision to go natural! I transitioned for 3 months, and like you I was very anxious and nervous. But for me, I couldn't take the two textures anymore and just went for it. I BC'd and I fell in love with my hair almost instantly! You'll look fierce with a TWA and there is really nothing to be afraid of. I ask myself why did I wait so long to do this so many times. You'll adore your hair when it's all over:)
