Re: Hair Accessories
so pretty! ok what do you use the lighter for? to kinda mold it together after you hot glue?? i'm slow you gotta have step by step directions for me lol
You should set up shop on etsy and sell them because I would rather buy one from you than go get everything and make my own lol - and I know I'm not alone!

Re: Hair Accessories
Thanks PoisonIvy and Rock'n Natural Curls!
@d.denise: Thank you! The lighter is for the ends of the ribbon so they don't fray. You glue the ribbon to the hardware and then glue the flower/jewel/feather, etc. to the ribbon. The ribbon is just something for the accessory to attach to.
If I took the time to practice making them neatly, I probably would sell them. The craftsmanship as of now looks a little...um, bootleg. You can't tell when I wear them though.

Also, I tend to like the small flowers, but large or small, the way you make them is the same. All you need is a glue gun, flowers/decorative items from Micheals (or any other craft store), ribbon, scissors, a lighter and the hardware (combs, headbands, etc.).
Happy crafting!

Traveljunkie your a ccessories are beautiful. I am a craft junkie my self. I had to put myself on punishment from michaels and joann's. But my glue gun is getting dusty and I need a few flowers for my huge hair and to go on my headbands for this spring and summer. Thanks for the inspiration!

Re: Hair Accessories
I always pick up flowers from Michaels and hot glue them to clips. I'm a bow girl and I use clip on bow ties in my hair! Perfect size for my hair volume and I use the clips right in my hair!!!
TravelJunkie your accessories are cute!!!
