How is everyone's challenge going? Anyone drop out?
I must say - I love my roots and I going to have to start using this consistently on my ends to see if I get the same effect.

Re: Castor Oil Challenge
I am still in. I use the castor oil at least five times a week. I want to get better at using it every day on my nape and front hairlines for growth. I can see a difference in the hair at my front hairline.
Re: Castor Oil Challenge
I'm still at it. I can definitely see the thickness around my hairline and the "kitchen" area.

I'd fallen off for about a week & a half. I had the flu and was not thinking about my hair. I'm back to my 3 days a week, tho and I think I'm seeing more growth on my edges.

How will you or will you mix: No mix
When and how will you apply: to wet hair when styling
What is your overall goal for this challenge: full, shiny, thick, n beautiful curls, minus breakouts! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Question: I made my bc last April; no grow out, a month after a relaxer. So, it is almost been a year and I don't feel like I had optimal growth. I also haven't deep conditioned like I should, I know shame on me. I have 4a-4b hair, when I stretch my hair on my neck hair line it stops at the nap of my neck. What are the best mixes and uses for Castor oil for optimal growth (i.e. hot oil treatments, deep conditions)?

Re: Castor Oil Challenge
First and foremost, congrats on your BC: you are STUNNING!
Secondly, your hair may indeed need a chance to adjust or need a little more moisture beneath the castor oil. What was your routine with the castor oil before the BC?

Re: Castor Oil Challenge
@LadyMika Thank you before the bc I was doing a deep condition with honey, AOHR, and EVOO then washing with giovanni tea tree and folowing with AOHR as just conditioner then moisturizing with BB oil moisturizer and applying the JBCO to my scalp and sealing with coconut oil (wow that seems like alot now lol).
Post BC I have been co washing with AOHR then while my hair is still a little wet using the bb oil moisturizer applying the JBCO to my scalp and sealing with the coconut oil. Almost the same but I haven't done a deep condition. I may do that tommorrow and see if that helps??? It just seems to be soaking up everything and it wasnt like that before the bc???

Re: Castor Oil Challenge
Okay, definitely deep condition on a regular basis. How often do you co-wash? I ask because I had the same issue when I was co-washing daily. When I cut down on that and only rinsed with water, my hair wasn't as dry anymore.
Re: Castor Oil Challenge
Okay maybe that is my problem I have been co washing everyday but I only did the bc sat but I was going to do it everyday idk why...I will do a deep condition 2morrow and then wait awhile before I co wash and see if it gets better. Thank you [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
ps I checked your blog out as someone else suggested on here I forgot who but it is good
