Brazilian Keratin Treatment Empty Brazilian Keratin Treatment

Post by Russet 31st January 2010, 7:51 pm

Hi everyone!

Ok, so I've been hearing SO much about this treatment and so I want to know what the real deal is. I've heard there are mild-formuldehyde, formuldehyde-free versions, and some that contain a high amount of formuldehyde. Is this even safe long term? I've even heard about people using this product at home. For anyone who doesn't know, formuldehyde is a really risky, harsh chemical. I've even heard that constant exposure of this may put you at a greater risk of getting cancer.

So is this product safe? As a long term transitioner, should I consider this to help me with both textures?

What do you ladies have to say?

Hi Auburn! I dont think you should do it.Take the time to get to know what works for your hair. Its a lot of trial and error but in the end I believe you will be better off.How long have you been transitioning?
