Natural Hair Salon in San Francisco?

Does anyone know the name/ contact info of a natural hair salon in San Francisco. I'm thinking of doing the BC. I've been transitioning for a year, and would like to go to someone that knows what they're doing.

You could try Madu in SF. I haven't personally been but they do specialize in natural hair.

also--- Sassy Salon in the Glen Park area of SF...they did my BC for me!

Did you like them? You are the first person that recommended somewhere they actually went to? And do you remember the name of the person that did your BC? I'm looking to do my BC too!

yes, they did a good job...I have to say though, it was quite expensive.... but they really did good work.

they used Miss Jessie's on me for styling, BUT they also have another line of natural hair products that I would recommend you ask them to use if you're picky about 'cones and whatnot...

how long have you been transitioning?

I've been transitioning for almost a year. That's why I'm looking to go somewhere, where the stylists know what they are doing. Do you remember how much it cost approximately, to get your hair cut?

oh also do you remember the name of the person that cut your hair

her name is Bebe... and the cut itself was the least expensive part...lets see... $85 for the twists $35 for product (a jar of buttercreme) $30 for the deep treatment...maybe $50 for the cut? but they do have a website... Sassy Salon...I know it has the blonde icon on it, but they do specialize in black hair...

Thanks! I found it. And I'll definitely mark the date! I was hoping within the next week or two. I have braids (extension) in my hair right now, but I'm ready for to BC, I had just been nervous about finding a good place to do it.

but I do have to say, they are gonna try to sell you on the miss jessie's when you go to Sassy Salon and... get them to use the Jessie Curl on you...its all organic and a much better product! you might want to even buy some there...are you into the all natural products or have you even thought about that yet?

Can we open this up to natural salons in the bay area?
I live in Hayward, and I want to do my BC soon, but I don't really want to have to go as far as San Francisco and THEn have to pay $80 something for a haircut :/ I'm a student, and that is ... maybe a month's pay for me ... Ahhhh

I def suggest yelp.com and there might be a few places in Oakland that are good for hitting up-Not nappy or not, they were horrible.
