Thanks I'm excited! They are holding up pretty well!!!
Re: VMichelle
Your twists look wonderful!
As far as curl definition, you can load your hair with conditioner and smooth it down each curl. This is the Terri's method from tightlycurly.com. You could also try a curly custard made from gel, conditioner and oil. Sheetacular has a recipe on her board. Yet another option is using gel alone. if using gel, I suggest using a leave in conditioner, gel then oil.

6 Day Old Hair!!! Pics soon to come
Hey Ladies,
So I have been trippin. Work has taken up all of my of time this week and I haven't been able to stalk threads like I usually do. I still have the frohawk twist in. Today is the sixth day and they are holding up pretty well. I've noticed that the front has started to curl up a little bit an best of all when I touch my hair it is soft and not all brittle like before. I think the prepoo really help as well as the coconut oil. I got my EOs in the mail earlier this week so I am going to make another spritz especially for my dry and itchy scalp. I got peppermint, eucalyptus, and tea tree oil. I think I may also mix up some of the aloe grow that I found on tiashaunee's thread. It looks refreshing ! I will post pics soon of my hair, but one of my students is using it to go around and take pictures of events on campus right now. If my hair is acting right, I think that I will try to co-wash the twists this weekend and finally take them down for a twist out on Tuesday. If I make it that long, it will be the first time that my hair has stayed for more than four day!!! Wish me luck yall and look for pics soon!

Thanks!!! I will be doing a DT tomorrow cause Mikele (name that Chrs gaver her) is SCREAMING for attention!
Re: VMichelle
Your twists looked really good. I think you could have gone longer. Any way, I will wait for the twist out.
Mikele is going to love you tomorrow . She's going to end up showing up and out, LOL!

LOL...she's trying to come out since she's been supressed for so long. I actually left the twist in. What I think I will do it cowash with the twist still in, apply some shea butter and retwist some of the ones that need some attention (my scalp is a bit dirty!). I got lazy before I left the house. I think the ones in the front and top need the most attnention. I am suprised that they lasted this long and are still soft. I will try this method and leave them in for a couple more day. Mikele won't like it, but she will be okay!
Re: VMichelle
Mikele looks good. I think Roxie is upset with me. She is not feeling like her normal self. I think I will be doing a twist out tomorrow after 8 days of being twisted up.
Cant wait to see the twist out.

Re: VMichelle
We all need to get together (Mikele, Roxie and Mandy) and have a lil chit chat about all this loving they getting and they still don't wanna act right!!!! LOL...expect to see the twist out mid next week. That's if she can last!!! LOL
Re: VMichelle
I think Roxie is sick because of the MJ Baby Buttercream. In the past if I use it, I usually twist out the next day and shampoo a day or two later. Next time I will try another heavy product but something natural.

Oh okay...do you think it dried Roxie out?
Re: VMichelle
No, she's not dried out but just feels weird.

No problem twin diva! My hair and twist outs come out better when I do the flat twists instead of the single one. I will try a chunky twist out soon though to see what results I will get.

Oh okay...maybe because of the length (because she is growing) she's starting to like other products better?
