Thanks ladies!!! Can't wait until my shea butter gets here. Can you ladies share what you moisturize your hair with? I know that i will be sealing with coconut oil (which I am currently using) and shea butter, but I am missing the moisturizing step during the week

I use shea butter to moisturize during the week and seal with whatever I grab...usually coconut oil or olive oil.

Alright now ladies, the twistout has turned into curly afro, so I think its time to go ahead and shut it down! LOL (even thought I am digging the big look). Depending on if I get my shea butter today I will be trying something new with the hair routine. I'm trying to test my hair to see if I need to DC every week or every other week. If I get my shea butter I will try the two week method of cowashing, leave-in, moisturize with shea butter and seal with coconut oil. I've also been wanting to try an avocado and coconut milk DC instead of Aubrey's just to switch it up and see what my hair likes. I hear a lot about the avocado DC's so I think I will try it myself.

On another note, I have a cool feature coming up where my boyfriend talks about his transition to wear locs and watching me go through my transition before and after the BC. I'll let you all knw when its posted. Ya don't wanna miss it!

I like that you were able to go with your hair. Your curly fro and single shot of you with the pinned fro is hands down the bomb diggity (yes, I know old school). You, too, are creative with styles.

I may try a curly fro this weekend.

For moisture I use conditioner. Your AO HR with some water would be great. You can even add some oil to it--not too much.

As far as hair names, how 'bout Mikele (pronounced mi Kay lay). Kele (Kay lay) for short VMichelle - Page 5 Icon_wink

LOL Mentor...I like that one!!! Mikele it. My shea butter didn't come yet. Im so bumped and I was up way to late (5am) to do the baggie method. Im co-washing and styling today. Do you think I can just do a prepoo, co-wash, leave-in moisture and them style?

I cannot WAIT to see the curly from this weekend. I am doing to do the two strand frohawk again with the BC hair to see what results I get. I'm going to try to wear it for a week without taking the strands down as a protective style. Wish me luck!!! VMichelle - Page 5 Icon_rr

Yes, you can definitely do the regimen you wrote. Your frohawk will turn out fine.
