(Week 11 Day 5)

Nothing is going on with Roxie today. The twist have a mind of their own but they are still soft and moisturized.

I am gonna rock a twist out tomorrow. Sunday will be my last set of twist for the twist/twist out challenge. I am so happy. I'm not sure what I will do next to Roxie. I really want to try a roller set....hmmmm....

Weekend Hair update - Once again there is nothing going on with Roxie. Because my twist are a few days old and have a mind of their own, I wasnt as comfortable with wearing my twist to the funeral today. I was so close to doing a twist out but Hubby told me my hair looked fine so out the door I went. I was glad the funeral wasnt sad. Now I go back into funeral retirement.....I hope.

I am gonna wear a twist out tomorrow. I think I am gonna wait until Monday and wash my hair.

Weekend Hair Update:

Today is twist out day and Roxie is looking good. I got a few compliments today too. I love it when people ask, "What did you do to your hair this time? It looks different every Sunday." 95% of the time, I wear a twist out to church. I told the lady, who is a creamy crack pusher aka hair stylist, "That's what I love about my hair. I can do the same style and get a different look everytime."

Here are a few pics I took outside. The light in my house is terrible if the sun is not out...







I want to do my next set of twist on dry hair so washing my hair today is not an option. I have to be somewhere at 9:30am tomorrow. It takes my hair along time to air dry so I think I will wash it tomorrow.

Roxy is looking good. I'm going to see if I can hold on to my twists until Thursday or Friday then do a twistout so I can get back on my regular wash schedule. I like it pinned on the side VERY CUTE.

You hair has really grown. How long does it take you to re-twist at night. Do you apply your shea butter mixture then twist, or twist and seal with your mixture.

Inquiring minds would like to know....

Tonight I will be putting on bonnet and going to bed.

But to answer your question, it usually takes me 30-45 mins to retwist at night, depending on what size I do my twist. Usually when I retwist, I like to use something light so I've been using KBB Hair Milk which I am just about out of

When my hair is in twist, I moisturize with the shea butter mix...applying the mix to the entire length of the twist and paying special attention to the ends.

(Week 12 Day 1)

Today Roxie ended up in a puff. It was kinda cute (sorry no pics ) I put 2 flat two strand twist across the front/top and put the rest in a puff. Roxie suffered from HIH sydrome...so although defined, there was a lot of frizz going on. I've learned if I use my shea butter mixture to twist my hair, I have to retwist at night. It may have something to do with the length too. My hair is getting the the awkward stage.

I will be washing my hair tonight and putting chunky twist in to air dry. Tomorrow I will be rockin my JCurls original. When I return home, I will install my last set of twist for the twist/twist out challenge I'm not sure what products I will be using but I will let you curlies know tomorrow.
