Hair Growth Challenge 2011

I want to join.

@Sperale- i use biotin, and the only noticable side effect i get is that my nails start growing like crazy.

Hair Type: 4a
Current Lenght: 3"
Desired Length: 5"
Protective Styles/Supplements: i'm not really wearing it in any protective styles right now. and i take biotin.
Routine: i don't really have a routine yet(i just bc'ed friday ) but i plan to continue washing once a week.

I want be in this

Hair type: 3c/4a
Current Length: 4in in back and 5 in in front
Desired Growth: 2 inches by April which should put me around 6 to 7 inches
Protective styles: two strand twist for 2 weeks, take down and wash and repeat until March and then I will change my regimen
I don't use any hair supplement but I do take multivitamins for my overall health.
I use EVOO and EVCO when needed to moisturize hair in between washes.

Soo is it too late to join the challenge??? i havent nailed down my routine yet. My last relaxer was June 2008... BUT my last press was Aug 2010 so i have some heat damage!!

I'll just put my stuff on here.

I'm 19
My hair is really thin.
Feb 08- October 10
No perm since then
my goal: midways my neck by march
I use: my own MN mix (miconazole nitrate, olive oil, wild growth hair oil, and africa's best herbal oil), biotin pills, prenatal vitamins, and jamaican black castor oil

I'm keeping it braided up until March. my default is my "before" picture

Oh and I forgot to add my goal: 2 inches past shoulders by April

I use
Giovanni smooth as silk to wash and condition every wk
YTTomatoes to deep condition w honey and olive oil once a wk
Moisturize with Giovanni Leave in, seal w/ shea butter and olive oil
Mid Weekly- use my homemade spray w/ water olive oil and aloe vera juice seal w/ shea and oil

don't know my current length :S

I wash once a week with Gion's series . Essence Olives and the conditioner
I DC with palmer's hair mask . i then spray on sofn'free milk and protein olive oil leave in treatment
protective hairstyle: rope twists with weave, braid out rod curls or roller sets or even twist outs .. sometimes
after hairstyles are done i use sofn'free milk and protein olive oil daily growth lotion and another from the same brand .. strengthening creme anti breakage formula ..
sadly i take nothing but flinstones vitamins

Current Length: 2-3" on the top 1/2 - 1.5" in the back
Desired Growth: 2-4"
Protective Styles/ Supplements: i have a TWA, i just moisturize & protect my ends

Routine: Co-Wash every other day, moisturize with olive oil and BB's moisturize oil, Eco Styler for wash n go.

I don't deep condition (i know thats a big no no) but i havent found one i like. any suggestions?

I use YTTomatoes with olive oil
You can check "Curly nikkis approved products" theres a good list of deep conditioners

I've been using raw shea butter, Cantu Shea Butter, Curls Whipped Creme, CURLS spray moisturizer, and Herbal Essence's Hello Hydration conditioner. MY length seems to be shooting since my big chop!

Routine: Washy weekly or every 2 weeks, Detangle, Shampoo,Condition,Deep Condition, Hair Treatment. Moisturize and seal daily with curls creme broulee moisturizer/water and castor oil.

Routine: Still figuring one out. Protective style (curly weave) is currently in.

I want to join. I have the afro 4c type of hair and it currently touches my shoulders. I have dukey braids in right now and I don't have any kind of specific hair routine.

Isn't it almost or about 6 weeks?

I just checked it's actually six weeks. It's time for us to report our progress.
