Im down 1 pound this week. My scale at home and WW scale actually showed that same results, they are usually off by a pound give or take.

Thanks Butterfly and Misskris for your responses.

I tried WW for the last 2 months. I really wanted it to work and it did a little bit. The only problem was that I can't handle eating so many carbohydrates because they make me crave sugar and bread. So I had to reduce my carbs in order to control those cravings. In reducing my carbs I had to eat more points because of course meats and fats are higher in points.

So now I am doing Protein Power...a low-carb plan. I have to get adequate amounts of protien and keep my carbs under 40g.

Today I had my first weigh in and I hit 169.8. I started at 175. So I am very pleased. I hope to get to where the two of you are one day. I just want to eat what I know works for keeping my weight maintained. I have a long way to go. My ultimate goal is 135.

MissKris, I love avocados and nut nutters also. Yummy Smile

I wish you two the best for your health also. I'll keep you all posted about the weight loss.

Aww, no prob DeM. I had to laugh at your typo of "nut nutters" LOL I knew what you meant though. My favorite ever is peanut butter. In fact my lunch today was a 1/2 grapefruit and a peanut butter and banana sandwich on a sandwich thin, with some honey drizzled on top. I eat it open-faced instead of closed. I just love it!!!! Avocados are the bomb. I love slicing some and putting it on top of a Black Bean Chipote burger (from Gardenburger) YUM! with some string cheese on it, salsa and lettuce. I could eat both of these sandwiches all day everyday!!! LOL

Great job on your weight loss. Girl I WISH I were where you are now. that's my 1st goal, 170. My ultimate goal is 160. That's what I was as a senior in high school but I was also on the track team then so I worked out 5 days a week, was a teenager and muscular. Still muscular but after 4 kids there too much fat on top of it!! LOL

Good luck to you too. We'll be able to reach our goals with determination and motivation!! Very Happy

Hey Ladies....so today I ordered the Zumba Fitness Total Body Transformation System DVD set with the Toning Sticks. I can't wait to get it. I was watching the infomercial last night and I have been wanting it for at least a year. So since my hubby gave me some money today I said, what the hell!!! YAY for ZUMBA!!!!! woot!

Oooh, Misskris, I've been watching those infomercials too and have been wanting to get that. Let me know what you think. Since you've been to actual Zumba classes you can compare the two.

I said a few days ago that I was joining Jillian Michaels' online program...well, that didn't last long. For one thing, I'm not good at following specific meal plans that are made for me. I need the flexibility to be able to do it myself and be creative and find new foods. The other thing is that I was speaking to a WW administrator the other day for a friend of mine, but then the lady asked me if I wanted to work for WW. Well, you have to be a lifetime member and you have to stay at your goal weight to work for them, so I thought win/win. It will make me stay on track and I can make extra money. So I'm back on WW.

Hey Gals!!!

@ Butterfly, that's awesome that they asked you to work with them!! You accepted or what? It's part time I take it since you said some extra money!! Hey, either way, you're right. That's definitely a win-win. You know, I keep saying that I should work at a gym so I am forced to stay active!! And honestly for a few years now I have thought about getting certified as a PT but I have more work to do on myself before I can do that. Although I HAVE seen some PTs that work at gyms and they do NOT look fit at ALL!! LOL Oh and I hear you about having to follow already-laid out meal plans. I like to be creative too. I just started back on this Scarsdale today because I have been stuck at this dumb weight now for about 2 weeks!!!!! scratch and Mad . So I wanted to cut out some carbs (not all carbs) and see what happens by Sunday. After that I'll be back to doing what I normally do. However, I did finally bust thru that plateau today after my workout but again, we'll see what the scale says in the morning.

@Court, I will let you know for sure. They just shipped it out today so hopefully I'll get them soon. I am so excited about getting them!!! dance LOL

@Misskris - heck yeah, I'm taking her up on her offer! I still have to apply, but she's sending me an app in the mail, and she told me what to do. It is part time because remember I work for the school district here full time, and I'm not leaving this good job. You really should be a PT! You would have so much more to offer than just the physical aspect. You are a fabulous listener and motivator, very knowledgeable, and with that psych degree, you could really offer something unique to your clients...be a cut above the rest, you know?

Good Morning Ladies. Ok so I weighed and measured this morning and I finally broke through that dumb plateau....

Weight 187.8 That's down 20.7 lbs!! YAY!!!!!
Waist - 37.25" (-6.5" total)
Hips - 44" (same)
Thighs - 26.5 both (-2" total)
Bust - 44" (-3" total)
Arms - 14" both (-5" total)
That's a total of 16.5 total inches lost from mt whole body as of 1/1/11. STILL have a ways to go. 28lbs to go. But YAY ME!!!!!! Hope everyone else had success. If not, keep puchin!!!! You'll get there!!!

144.8 last Sunday down to 143.4. I'm trying to get the energy to go to zumba today but I am dragging. Otherwise I have been good about my eating and exercise. I've also lost an inch on my waist during the last month or so, everything else is staying the same pretty much.

But you know I am wondering, do you HAVE to have been or be a WW member to work there??? Cuz they sent me an email saying thank you for applying and all that. But then it said something about "as a member...." refering to me. So I dunno. Now I have to do this online survey for them that's gonna take 30-45 minutes or something like that, it said. We'll see.

Unfortunately I am up .8 this week. I worked out like crazy, but my eating could have been better. Ive also incorporated weight lifting so that my have something to do with it. I so need to see these numbers creep downward.
Im going to take my measurements shortely, i hope i seem some improvement.

Yeah, Misskris, as far as I know, WW only hires Lifetime Members, which means you have to be a member and you have to have reached Lifetime status. I didn't say anything earlier because I don't want to be a know-it-all...lol. You should double check just to be sure though. Don't take my word for it.
