Hair looks really good for the first time. For a different look, you can twist or braid first then knot.
Happy birthday to your husband! I am sure you will make his day special.

Thanks Chrs. I will probably do a twist or braid BKO, when my hair gets some more length.
Yes I have a special day all planned out for him, nothing extravagant. Just some of the things he likes.

HAPPY FRIDAY:
It feels like a saturday to me, idk. It's raining and cold. So I went to the gym this morning for my weights and abs class. Now I will remain home. It's so gloomy here.
No 2nd day BKO for me. So annoying. Anyway, I will give myself an amla/shikaika tx tonight. I am also going to stop using sulfate shampoos because that new face wash I discovered as a shampoo lifts all dirt/cones. I also want to stop using cones. It's funny because during my transition, I avoided them. Now I am experiementing with them and I am asking myself why. I want to get back to cowashing again. That is when I saw my best results. So no more Herbal essence . I will have to revisit my stash and evaluate my products again.
Anyhoo, Blondie took pics of her hair in motion. I thought that was cute. But it also reminded me of something that I missed about relaxed hair. Up to this point, I had not even thought about my relaxed hair. But those pics of her hair moving, really brought back memories. I do miss movement. I am not stressing over it or anything. I am enjoying my natural hair in this stage. But that is something I do miss.
HAVE A REMARKABLE FRIDAY DOLLS!!!!

Good morning love!! I miss movement sometimes too, but I wouldn't trade movement in for my curls EVER!!!!!! I'm enjoying my hair in every stage and when the length comes, so will the movement! Just wanted to know you're not the only one thinking about swinging your hair around ...

Welcome to my world. If you find that BKO preserver before me, let a sista know!!!
I've been wondering about this "cone" thing too... Although I co-washed today with the HE (love the slip it provides), I rinsed it out after detangling (along with the water soluble cone in it). Left in Suave instead--my hair has never looked better
As you start to get some length, you'll get some hang--and some movement too!

Sounds like a winning plan. I too have stopped using cones, sulfates, etc. all the bad stuff. I carefully read all ingriedients now. I was given advice by Big Sis to remove all that stuff from regime and a couple weeks ago I week through my products and got rid of it all - well I moved it to another part of the house. I'll give it to a family member.

It's so silly of me to think after separating these items in the beginning, that I could just pick them back up and try them without even knowing my hair yet. Well you live and you learn.

Re: IntelligentBeauty;-)
IB: The new style looks great! I am thinking of trying some mini twists on my hair so I can leave it alone for a while. A lot of people who have some nice growth said they left their hair alone. We'll see...I'll let you know. Also, I will post my close up pics on the general site tomorrow. I have been under the weather for the past couple of days, but I did get to take some pics.
Have a great weekend!
