Hey sis!! I see I have missed so much. You are doing great and your hair is lovely.
take care.
HEY SHEE, THANK YOU FOR THE SONG AND THE KIND WORDS . THERE IS SO MANY PEOPLE IN THE CHALLENGE NOW, IT'S HARD TO KEEP TRACK.
KeishaMac wrote:Oooh very cute!!! I like the puff. I think this should be a mainstay for this length...keep it in rotation. Also, thank you very much for the shout out...I feel so honored that you would even mention me in your post. Well, I see that we did follow BBD in chopping, so I am glad that I had some beautiful strong ladies to convince me to do the same. I think I may post some close up pics of my hair tomorrow. I am in a DC challenge on nc.com, so I need to get one in early in the week. I hope you are having a wonderful work day, cause Lord knows you're having a wonderful hair day!!
THANKS FOR YOUR KIND WORDS. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOUR CLOSE UP PICS

GOOD WEDNESDAY MORNING:
My husband found this pic of us and I was relaxed, about 9 years ago.
IGNORE THE MY EYEBROWS (I have no idea why they werent done... )
Anyway, last night I decided to wash my hair. I wanted to try some bantu knots. I could never get this style when I was transitioning. So I couldn't wait to try it now.
I washed my hair with this 100% organic, 100% vegan, excellent shampoo. It is actually a face wash I use every morning but after re-reading the ingredients, I thought this would be an excellent alternative to diluted sulfite shampoo to get rid of the cones.
I then DC with another new product called Biofuson Olive oil DC. I loved the tremendous slip it gave me, however it did have a protein or 2 at the end. So my hair was moistured on rinse out but a little harder than normal. DC was for 1 hour without heat. Rinsed out with cold water then added a little DEVAONE condish for added moisture. Sectioned hair and add whipped shea/oil mix to scalp and hair and a little IC fantasia gel to sectioned part. Twisted and made into knot. I just want to say I have no patience or time to section neatly. I grab and knot . I will leave them in today because I am not going anywhere special today. Here are the pics:
HERE ARE THE INGREDIENTS FOR THE SHAMPOO (FACE WASH): I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS. CAN BE PURCHASED AT VITAMINE SHOPPE OR ANY HEALTH FOOD STORE. PRICE: 12.99 EXCELLENT BUY

Very nice IB, can't wait to see the results. That was a style I could never get either while transitioning. I had several failed attempts.
I'll need to revisit one day.
BTW, nice throwback pic of you and your hubby.

Can't wait to see pics!! I did a braid n curl last night. Not a total fail not a total success. I'm glad I tried tho.
Re: IntelligentBeauty;-)
The bantu knots look great!!! And I agree with Chrs the last pic could totally be the new avatar
That is gonna be once fierce BKO!! I've never done them on wet hair so I'm curious to see how it turns out. My hair would NEVER dry if I did bantu knots on wet hair.

Leaving in BK today until tomorrow. It's my husband's birthday and I want to look nice for him
I KNOW, I KNOW, THE AVATAR NEED TO CHANGE. Just waiting for the right style to hit me

Thank you
Thanks Chs. But I am in my PJs. I wouldn't feel comfoftable with that as my avatar pic
That face wash is awesome as a shampoo. It's does the same job as my diluted sulfate Revlon shampoo and really takes the "itchyness" out with out striping my hair. And at 32fl oz for 13 bucks, it's a steal. A little goes a long way.

I will have to take a look at your braid n curl. It can be a little tricky, i find, with short hair

THANKS. I HOPE I AM AS SUCCESSFUL WITH THEM AS YOU ARE WITH YOURS. IF EVEN FOR THE DAY

BANTU KNOT OUT
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

GOOD THURSDAY MORNING DOLLS:
I just wanted to give a BIG CONGRATS to CurlyNikki and her husband for their new addition to the family. All the best in the pregnancy and safe delivery of your bundle of joy.
Woke up at 5am for cycle class. The bantu knots themselves are a great style for working out. After shower, I unraveled my bantu knots with castor oil on my fingertips. I then opened up the sections more with my horsetail/peppermint spritz and castor oil rubbed in between my hands. Once sectioned, I smoothed out the front and placed ouchless decorative headband.
I like it, but think I need to work on perfecting it. To make it more smooth and shiny.
DH's birthday today and I have a wonderful day planned for him. I hope he likes the hair too.
