I am excited that you are BCing soon. It's even better that your husband is soo supportive. Now I need to go read what you wrote on Sweet's hair challenge:)

Thanks Lynn. It took me 2 hours to twist it. Is that a normal time frame?

It takes me 2 hours to do my small/medium size twist.

Thanks darling. The mix is
unrefined shea butter
EVOO
Avocado oil/vitamin E oil
Coconut oil
Lavender/tea tree oil essential oil
I used it for face and hair. I loved it.

Well your twists are much neater than mine. I do not know how to section properly especially in the back. So once I BC, I probably will not be twisting and leaving in. Twistouts will be more my speed.

YES YES
I will be BC sooner. The date is still in question. My husband is not going to show support. He is going to make sure everything is to his liking. Big difference.
He looked at me this morning and said "you will be pressing your hair straight once in a while right?" So now you gals tell me if he is 100 % supportive

So I just got news that they are going to make it a 2 part show on the blogtalk. One show will not be live and the other will be. It is too much to cover in a 1 hour show anyway. Exciting!!!
I think we will record tonight, not sure yet. I will tell you when the pre-recorded show will be.

As for the castor oil and Shea mix, it is likely the thickness of the castor oil that helps with WnG and curl definition.

Re: IntelligentBeauty;-)
So I called the salon for an appointment today and was told that I cannot bring anyone with me. She said she wants the client to have an experience with out interruption. Well, that didn't fly well with my husband. So I will be calling Devachan on Monday for an appointment. I am still a little concerned though. I haven't seen any pics of Devachan 4a/b/c ladies. I have heard good things from them but no pics. I love pics. I will research you tube to see if I can find some. SO FRUSTRATING!!!

I've heard that the nicer salons don't like extras. Unkly Funky's Daughter in Houston is the same way. Honestly, I think it helps contribute to a serene and spa like experience without people talking and running around. But I can understand how your husband would fell. Can't wait to see your BC!

[Living Sacrifices ] Therefore, I urge you, brethern, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.
Romans 21:1
GOOD MONDAY MORNING:
GOGOGOGO SAINTS!!!
So my hair is still in the twists. I have been oiling my scalp like every other night now with castor oil mix.
I made my 3rd batch of whipped shea butter mix. Now I have no more shea butter now. My ingredients are:
unrefined shea butter
coconut oil
evoo
avocado oil/vit e
lavender/tea tree EO
2 drops of left over home health castor oil
It smells lovely. It melts right in your hand on contact. I thought thst was interesting. But it glides on smooth over my face and doesn't leave my face oily, just moisturized.
So my dear friend was telling me about her coworker who has 4a/b hair and religiously goes to Devachan in NYC. She brags about them all the time. My friend says her hair is the BOMB. So again, I haven't seen it for myself but I do trust my dear friend who is natural. So I will call tomorrow and make an appointment because they are closed on Mondays. SMH
BTW, the blogtalk was rescheduled because of technical difficulties. I will keep you posted.
HAVE A MONUMENTAL MONDAY DOLLS!!!!

I'm happy you getting ready to make this appointment. What if they said they have an appointment for this week? Would you take it?

Lynn, only you....lmbo
Well truthfully "yes". I am very frustrated and tired of my husband giving me "that is so unattractive" looks. (I have twists in that I haven't unraveled and I look funny in them.) But I do not want to unravel until Tuesday night work. I am eager to go 100% natural now. My mind is right and I feel I am ready. But the salons wouldn't cooperate. SMH. We will see tomorrow.....

I am excited for you!!! You are gonna look great! Are you gonna let them style it at the salon? If so, what style are you gonna try?

The only washn go he has seen is my dear friend, kinkykurlyklassic. It is really hard to show other peoples wash n go because it is very particular to the person's curl pattern and texture. But when I call Devachan today, I will have to get alot more info about the styles they do. I know they do curly styles and work with your curl pattern. We will see....
