Yes Sweetdrk does look mighty young..i think she's not being honest about the age thing...lol..Yes Miss Kris, I bought my qhemets in NY also, and it was actually the same price as it was when I ordered online..But I want to second what Lynn said, try doing only few products at a time. Although like me you have been natural for some time, and you have a better grasp then most on your hair. This site is excellent for info, but you take and toss the advice as you need. Hi and welcome!

How did the henna work out? How did you prepare it?

Hey Chrs. The henna was fine. I still have it up though since doing it on Saturday. I had it in twists and today i put it in 2 cornrows. So I still haven't seen the real effects of it. I can tell lit is lighter though, especially on the ends from where the old color was.

So the way I prepared it was actually based mostly on the vendor's directions. I mixed 3/4 cup lemon juice (it called for 1 whole cup but I only had 3/4 left LOL) It came with cinnamon and cloves which I boiled in the lemon juice and then added it to the henna, added water til it got to the consistency of yogurt. I ALSO added some extra cinnamon, pumpkin spice, and paprika, all of which are supposed to help the color come out. I also added some honey. I left it on for 6 hours and then after I rinsed it out (I still have some in my head-LOL) I did a deep conditioning for about 2 hrs (LeKair Cholesterol with honey and evoo) for 2 hrs. then rinsed that and did my leave-in (Cantu) and sealed with Jojoba oil. While my hair was wet I didn't think my curl was any different the way I'd seen some people say.

So I am probably gonna do again in about a month. If I like it I'll try to do it monthly. If I don't see much diff I'll probably not do it anymore.
