Henna with Indigo Anyone?????

I'm interested in trying henna but I'm not really big on the reddish tint. I was wondering if anyone has tried using henna with indigo to color the hair black??? Is it better to use the regular henna that has the reddish color? Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance ~TTYL~

A good source for mixing and information is the forum on hennaforhair.com. I read as much as I could before using henna and indigo.

I have tried henna alone, and immediately noticed a difference in how my strands felt. In the sun, my hair had a slight reddish tint and my grays were no longer white [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] .

A month or so later, I did henna then indigo. My hair was dark, and my grays were a coppery color or brick red.

The last time I did henna, I mixed in amla. I also did my indigo treatment. I did not see any reasonable difference in adding the amla. Amla is to help keep the curl as well as darken the color. My hair is still dark.

I just made my order today at Mehandi for Jamila 2008 and Indigo. So we shall see. I'm so excited. After hearing all the reviews.

Anyone with very tight coils 4a-b did henna? How has it reacted? Any photos? I've seen only photos on ladies with 3 grade curls or lower. I think I'm a range of 3c-4a
