I'm liking the twists. Did you apply anything special to the ends? They look really good.

Nothing special on the ends. I first smoothed a quarters size amount of aloe vera gel into each section of hair ( 7 total). Then I worked my whipped Shea butter into the section then twisted. My Shea butter is whipped with EVOO, EVCO, sweet almond and jojoba oils. I'll have to work on proportions but it's really creamy.

Evening ladies. Twists are holding up well. Think I'll coat them with a then layer of leave in conditioner tonight. I forgot to get photos today, but will tomorrow. I love that they are fluffling up some, but not unraveling.

Hello, Ladies. The twists are still holding up, but they have a level of frizz that saddens me and the ones in the "kitchen" are unraveling rapidly. Retwisted those tonight with shea butter mix and coated all with some whipped shea butter tonight. Will se what happens. May be twisting out sooner than planned. Keeping fingers crossed for some longevity.

Here are pics from this morning. Looking better after a little TLC with shea butter. It's too cold to wear my hair any way that doesn't allow full hat coverage, so these babies will have to last a good minute.

You and all of the other long term twist wearers are making me want to try some mini twist. I've never kept a style longer than about 6 days so it will be interesting to see how long mine would last.

@lynnieluve-- This is my first time trying it. I've gone 4 days before taking them down in the past, but that's the longest. I can't wait to see the twist out when I'm done. I'm thinking I take it to next Friday twisted and then rock them out on Saturday and Sunday, before twisting again. We'll see, though.

Good to hear from. How is your hair doing?

Hair has grown and is tolerating my 3 times a week of swimming. I'm doing wash-n-go and lots of conditioner is being used at the pool. My laptop charger is broken so no photos right now, but will upload some as soon as I am fully up and running again.

Hey divadr175!!! I was looking through your thread and you just really inspired me! For real. Besides that your hair is gorgeous, I'm so inspired and convicted about spending so much time on the internet and not enough time with God. I love that you realized who deserves your time and you've definitely helped me realize the same Thank you so much, just for being a light and putting your time in for the Lord. That is such a blessing to me and I am determined to give my time to whom it belongs: my Lord and Savior, the King of kings, alpha and omega, healer, counselor, my best friend, God almighty!!!! and the list goes on and on ... lol
