Thank you poeticly. No I didn't blow it out. I finger combed the twist out with my fingers first then I went back through and picked my hair out with a pick. I got the idea from Tia's video.

KC-your hair is gorgeous. And there is so much of it.

For starters, I know how you feel about the time it takes to twist, and starting out small but it gets big by thr end. lol

The fro was amazing, and then the twists were soo cute. And that twistout was perfect.

I am currently trying to use everything I have before I purchase more also.
Then I have a whole ton of stuff in a shopping bag I want to give away.

Thank you Coilykinks. I am also trying to use up everything. I love Qhemet's and I'm out but I'm not ordering anymore so I can use up some of this other stuff I have or until she has a sale (lol)!

Hey DVA!

I'm good just tired since it seems that I never get enough rest on the weekends. I need a vacation but don't have one planned so far. Maybe I can go on one towards the end of the summer or early fall.

Yes she's making hair candy go check out her thread! I am loving yellow this summer it seems like everything I buy is yellow Krazy Coils, - Page 15 Icon_smile . It probably takes my hair about a day to fully air dry on its own. I normally do my hair on Saturday or Sunday afternoon or evening shampoo, deep condition and either twisting or plaiting it. Its not fully dry until the following afternoon. This is all due to growth because when my hair was shorter I was able to take my hair down the following morning after I washed it and wear it out. That's another reason why I've been doing more protective styling because my hair isn't dry fully the next day.

Happy Monday Curlies!

Yesterday was shampoo day for me so after an overnight Prepoo with Olive Oil and Coconut Oil I shampooed my hair with Trader Joes Tea Tree Tingle. I try to alternate my conditioners each week between protein and moisturizing conditioners. So this week I used Kenra deep moisturizing conditioner and added Olive Oil and Vegetable Glycerin. It says moisturizing but this conditioner actually has protein. After my dc my hair was soft and easy to finger detangle.

Now I've tried Kimmaytube's leave-in recipe but I'm not crazy about the KCKT as a leave-in because its not moisturizing enough for me since I use it more as a detangler. So this week I decided to use a different leave-in conditioner with the mixture. I used Darcy Botanicals daily leave-in and I love this modified version since my hair feels more moisturized. I think I am going to use this modified version with the Darcy's leave-in and I also want to try it with another fave leave-in of mine the Shea Moisture leave-in conditioner (not the one sold at Target).

So I am wearing twists which I twisted kind of medium to large with ORS Twist and Lock gel which I am experimenting with and I applied a shealoe mixture underneath the gel. I will post pics later. Have a great day!

I'm so turned onto prepooing with EVOO overnight now! Loved how my hair felt in the morning. I can't say enough about that leave in recipe. I tried the KCKT for the first time in the mix and I like it alot. I'm glad the modified version is working for you. I've never tried the Darcy line before.

I want to do the prepoo thing. How much oil do you use? Is your hair dripping with oil or what? I really don't want to make a mess. LOL

Hey CG, Its funny because at first I didn't really care for EVOO but now I'm starting to use it more and more with my deep conditioner and prepoo.

Hey Mom2Kurly,

My hair isn't dripping. I never measure but I usually put some in an applicator bottle and apply to the roots of my hair and then the ends of my hair. I always put extra oil on the ends since that's the oldest part of my hair then I twist each section and once I'm finished I put a plastic bag or cap on my head. I also have put an old cap on top of that in case some oil comes out the sides.
