Re: 6 Months Post Relaxer
Hello ladies, I am new to the site and loving it. I have been transitioning for six months. I can't wait to be natural, but not planning the bc anytime soon. I am growing a little bored with my twist and braid outs. Any suggestions?
can anyone tell me how to upload photos

Wearing my hair up has been one of my staple styles. My last relaxer
was done on October 11, 2009. These pics were taken in April 2010 (6
months out).

Last relaxer was November 8th!! I'm currently wearing braids and will download a pic as soon as I take one!! This has been quite the experience and I'm proud to say that two of my friends have joined me on this transition...well, one of them just BC'd!
Can't wait to be fully natural!!

Re: 6 Months Post Relaxer
I had my last relaxer October 2009. 3 weeks ago, I almost lost motivation and was ready to relax, so I got a haircut (4-5
inches) in hopes to re-focus. Shortly after the haircut, I found CN.com. Since then, I've been soooo excited about this journey that I can barely stand it. Now I'm trying to find some protective styles to try. Any suggestions??

Re: 6 Months Post Relaxer
I am upon my 6th month of transition and freaking out! For me, the transition is more of a necessity than a desire. I am moving to the Middle East in 5 months and I've learned through experience that chemically treated hair can be difficult overseas. My 4a/b hair is straight in the top and curly in the back. My hair is extremely dry, which is going to be a huge challenge in desert conditions. Suggestions and advice are needed.

Uneasy - I have a few friends who make their hair remedies - I would do that to start it maybe easier to find those ingredients that actual "products". Items like coconut oil, vegetable glycerin, and castor oil.

Re: 6 Months Post Relaxer
Hello ladies! I am in my 6 mos post relaxer stage. I've been wearing braids, roller sets, and "straight" (flat iron). I am loving this natural way of hair life. I want to experiment with different looks and I think that will come in time with practice. I'm learning so much from this site. Thank you CurlyNikki! I love seeing everyone's progress and learning tricks and tips. I know I can learn from everyone here! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Re: 6 Months Post Relaxer
Hello Ladies! Today, I'm 6 months post relaxer! For months, I've been battling with dry, rough hair on my hairline, nape and a few other areas. After months of deep conditioning, moisturizing, and lots of TLC, the dry hair is forming soft curls. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: 6 Months Post Relaxer
My last relaxer was December 4th. I am going for a long transition (so scared of the bc, my head is way too big lol) Just bought some kinky-curly and I had to stop my self from buying 3 other products. I am trying to avoid being a product junky. This site has been a great encouragment to stop my 21 year addiction to the creamy crack [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: 6 Months Post Relaxer
I'm in my 6th month of transitioning. I have a cousin who's been natural for 7 years and she just told me she was thinking about "switching it up" and getting a perm. I hope she doesn't! All that work she did on her hair will go to waste! Anyway, I'm planning on BC'ing next month. I'm nervous about it, but it will be worth it.

Re: 6 Months Post Relaxer
Hey Guys!! Im going on 7months but right now i'm six months post relaxer. After month for 4 it became hard to detangle so I bought the Ouidad comb that Nikki talked about. Now when I use the comb and Trader Joe's Norish and spa condish detangling is easy. That comb is the truth. When you detangle once it stays detangled. Here are some pics. I wish i had more growth.
