[quote="missmoriahiscurly"]@Karameldiva: Well congrats on your BC lady! How is that mega tek working for ya? Share the link with us cuz i really wanna switch up my styles.

Miss Moriah--The mega tek is sssssoooo good to my hair. Idk if my hair can just "take" the protein or if it's a great balance between co-washing and protein, but the growth has been amazing. Plus, even before my bc, I had zero shedding between relaxed and natural hair or shedding from the product. I was concerned too, b/c a lot of ppl have said to prepare with garlic condish or capsules. I apply it generously every other day and leave it in until I co-wash. I think I'm going to start adding it to my overnight baggy.

As for the link to the twa styles, it's more Youtube videos and this one from longhaircareforum
http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/showthread.php?p=10349982.

Ms. Nia from Youtube:

I also really like our very own Ni-Kiya aka Bambiix2.

Y'all ladies are a trip!! I know I'm right at home. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] LOL!

Marhia-- do you have a how-to on that style? How long do you wear them? I don't know if I have the length, but I sure do like them and it serves as a two-in-one style and that's right up my alley!!

FWX2010 & New-Naturalle- Welcome aboard and happy hair growth to you!!

SweeTea2011-- I'm having the same problem with dryness that you are having. Last night I tried something different, I baggied my whole head. Now if your dh or significant other doesn't mind the crackle of a plastic conditioner bag, then you're set! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I did put a satin cap over it too, but dh sleeps hard, so it doesn't bother him. Every day this week I've been co-washing and then using my Knot Today and KCCC. On Tuesday morning, day 2 of my KCCC I woke up, fluffed my curls and sprayed with Scurl and walked out the door moisturized. Before you say, what? LOL-- Girl, don't sleep on the juice! That's why people with jheri curls keep length, b/c it stayed moisturized. Anyway last night I used S-curl, Amla & Olive heavy cream (Qhemet Biologics) and sealed with Vatika oil. Today is the FIRST day my hair had moisture and softness ALL DAY long. It was still a little damp, but I only took off the bags and out the door.

Until I find something else that's a one time- apply and go for all day moisture, I'm gonna keep baggying.

Alright, alright...I know! I'm a freak of nature so sue me okay! Geez! I can't help it, I'm addicted to water...no, not just drinking it but jumping in the shower and sticking my head under the shower head! I did the coils on Tuesday and today I just had to play in my hair...oh Lucy I missed you. I named her Lucy not only because my bff's hair is named Ethel but because my hair likes to be loose!

So, I did a mini puff today and had to slap a head band on it quick or else I'm fixing to look like Kobe Bryant (slanted five-head and all) and hubby don't want to be cuddling up to an NBA player! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Awe, thank you swoodward, you noticed [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]! Even though this is my second time going natural I'm really loving my hair now that I know how to take care of it! It's so soft and I love rubbing my hands in my hair; that's why those coils did not last long for me![You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Hello Ladies,

SweeTea, Karameldiva & FWX - WELCOME! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

CrissyQ - I will try to post a picture similar to TMZ on the 1st too!

Thanks LaToya for the video - I need all the help I can get!

Karameldiva - please send the link of twa styles

Newcurlesque- I love the picture with your daughter on the avi, I may do the same as well! Your color is awesome! Let me know if you have to change your regimen since the color - I want to color the gray later this year!

NubieNatty - thanks for the words of encouragement it's a learning experience. I haven't been natural since I was 11 and it's like I don't even know what is on top of my head! I am so glad I did this! My daughter is two with beautiful head of natural hair and she really is the one who keeps me going with staying natural.

Tashafawn - i have been a water junkie this week too! It has been hot for the past couple of days and jumping in and out the shower is awesome. I also noticed that I did not have put much in my hair to moisturize lately. I don't know if it is due to the weather or my hair is actually staying moisturized! I love your pic with the headband. hopefully I will be able to rock the headband soon too!

MissMoriah - your avi with the puff is so cute.

I love this thread! It makes me feel that I am doing this for all the right reasons!

Awe, thanks everyone, yall sure know how to make a black girl blush [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]. I washed my hair with Elucence moisture balance shampoo and then I used Herbal Essence's Long term relationship leave-in conditioner. I used the eco to slick up the sides and VIOLA! Instant Ramen...I mean puff! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Oh, the headband I snatched up from wally-mart; girl it's a Goody's bra-strap headband! It was the last one too so I guess my snooping [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] around the hair accessories isle when I should have been grocery shopping was worth it!

Hey ladies, I finally broke down and did a cowash this morning, I woke up with my scalp itching and started scratching like I had flees [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] . So I decided to do another wash, and boy did it feel good to run my head under some water, lol. My braids are definitely fuzzy but I think I can hold out till the first. Wish me luck, this has been quite an experience.
