Rosebud once you find what works for YOU, it will be on!!! You may have to try a few different products before you find the right one but just be patient.

You gon' make me go out and buy this gel...like I really need another gel!!

@Latoya....it's inexpensive too! $3.99 for the gel and $3.99 for the activator...some people use carefree curl products too.

I have a huge tub of Eco Styler gel that I have not even put a dent in and don't plan to either....and I have KCCC that totally dries out and causes major shrinkage in my hair.

@Rosebud...you see instant results!...you distribute the gel evenly through your hair and just massage your curls, you will see the curl definition ASAP and really see it after your hair dries....make sure you also use a good moisturizer underneath it as well to really see great results

That's a great price! I have the CFC moisturizer and I love it. I also have the large Ecostyler olive oil and KCCC...lol, not to mention Hairveda's Whipped gelly, Aveeno spray gel, and some Krystal Ecostyler gel! I should really be ashamed of myself...but I'm not!

Take a silver dollar size amount, rub hands together to blend and then run it thru ure hair first then with ure finger tips manipulate each curl by twistin them individually apply more gel as needed....this method reallys work a non water based mositurizer if u don't have one use JBCO or a coconut oil and see what happens

@mstokes: You've gotten lots of great advice. I'll just add that with post BC dryness, it doesn't really matter what styling product you use, in my opinion. I tried WNGs after I did the BC, and they looked HORRIBLE. No curl in sight because my hair was super dry. So I stopped trying because it became frustrating. It took about a month for the dryness to go away, and I waited another month before I tried a WNG again. It looked much better, so I started experimenting with products and techniques. I guess I said all of that to say that I would suggest you try another style like twist outs or braid outs until the post BC dryness goes away.

Thanks for all of the advice ladies! Surprisingly my curls are starting to come alive more and more each day. I am learning that my hair likes being rinsed at least once daily as opposed to be just sprayed with a spray bottle. I don't think my IC gel is really helping though, as of now it seems to be counter productive, so until I get my hair from being so dry I think I may put that on pause.

I did attempt a two-strand twist and couldn't get them to stay. But I'll probably try again in a few days because I need something to keep my hands out of my hair.
