I am going to use my aloe plant with the giovanni products until my product swap gets here this week. If that doesn't work then I will bit the bullet and get it.
Not sad at all - I can't do it either. So I will not be trying that product unless I get a free sample. $30 is a bill!
Lol! Ditto, mine was sent to me. I was eventually going to break down and buy it, when I arrive in ATL but NC.com sent me a free 16oz...I have to say, it is pretty good though. A little goes a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way. If you use too much it is a mess. You have to play with it. IMO i think it is a pretty good product, once you figure out how to use it, i feel you will get your $30 out of it. It isnt like regular gel...I havent tried the KCKT...now, ppl say that conditioner is good too, but you run through it fast...we will see...but I understand and it is not sad.
BTW, you hair looks fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy!

THANK YOU SO MUCH, MC.
WELL, IF I CAN GET IT THRU A PRODUCT SWAP OR AT A DISCOUNTED PRICE IN A SMALLER JAR, I WILL PAY. BUT A SISTER HAS TO TRY THINGS OUT FIRST............

GOOD TUESDAY MORNING:
It is a rainy morning for us here in JERZZZZEY..... . Last night we had thunderstorms and heavy rains.
I received some product from a transitioning friend of mine over the weekend. She is branching out into her own hair care line. She wanted me to try her products out and gave me nice normal sized samples. So last night I used her Guave Nectar shampoo and conditioner and decided to do a flat twist out (since I have no gel for the wash n go). So after detangling with the conditioner. I rinsed out and added her whipped shea/mango mix to my hair in sections. I created 6 double strand flat twists then put metal clips on the ends to weigh them down (darn shrinkage ). I thoroughly enjoyed her creations. As I was sectioning and twisting, my hair was so easy, soft, tangle free, and smelled delicious. My first flat twist results were really nice. My hair was supple, shinier, and well defined. I also want to add that it took me all of 1/2 hour to do the flat twists . I just love natural hair!!! I forgot to take pics of my flat twists, but I will take pics of my twist outs today and post them. The process was hassle free and tangled free. I have not had much issues with tangles since my BC. I LOVE THAT!!!. I do have to be more careful with my back curls though. Because they are so tight and defined I have to really remind myself to take my time and catch the hair at the end of the curls to unravel the curl. BUT I SO LOVE IT!!! I can tell I am going to have alot of fun with this new hair of mine........... .
PICS TO FOLLOW LATER THIS AFTERNOON.
HAVE A TERRIFIC TUESDAY DOLLS!!!!

Re: IntelligentBeauty;-) PICS OF DESTINY LOVING WATER;-)
Congrats on your wash n go success! I tried a wash n go a few times after I BCd and they looked awful. My hair was just too dry. Didn't matter what I used (product or technique). I waited two months before trying again. So kudos to you for sticking with it and not giving up.
If you buy the KCCC from Whole Foods and it doesn't work for you or you just don't like it for whatever reason, you can return it. Same with the EO (which I wouldn't recommend, by the way). Whole Foods has a very generous return policy; even on food items.
Love your avatar. And congrats again on your BC. I can't believe it's been 21 days already!!!

IB-You Hair looks great....and I love the new Avatar!!!
I understand about the KCCC....$30 is a lot. I do have some, and the first time I used it I used too much and I wasn't at all happy with the product . I tried again this weekend layering with Knot Today-my FAVORITE leave in, and I was soooooo happy with the results. Small amounts is the key. I never get day 2 hair with a wash n go but i did with KCCC....spritz with water and I was good to go. I also like the ecostyler gel, and it's much cheaper.
Welcome Back TJ....

OK, I didn't know about the return policy at Whole foods. Well I found some recipes I want to try and also may be getting it thru a product swap, so we will see.
Thank you for your compliments I can't believe it has been 21 days either. Time fllies when you are trying to figure stuff out (and have fun)

Thanks Courtney . I heard so much about this ecostyler too. But believe it or not, I haven't been able to find it. Anywho, I have some plans for gels and puddings so we will see how that goes. I would love to see at least one pic of your wash n gos, lady. Please be so kind as to honor my thread with at least one really good pic of that hair of yours. THANKS IN ADVANCE

NATURALLY SEXY PIC........
Ok dolls, so I am suppose to be sleeping right?
But I just got my first "natural makes me feel sexy" feeling..... . You know when you go to wash or do something to your hair but you start playing with it first. Well in that play, IT HAPPENED..........HERE ARE PICS (don't laugh at me) BUT THIS IS ME IN THE RAW (no makeup or accessories, just me and my hair)
OK I REALLY NEED TO SLEEP NOW . I WILL HOLLA BACK AT ALL THE RESPONSES ON MY THREAD AS WELL AS CHECK OUT EVERYONE ELSE'S THREAD LATER.

HEY HEY HEY SIS!!! I finally got caught up. I missed a lot. I love your hair. No matter the style. Sometimes I don't mind the shrinkage. I like people to be fooled by what they see. I need you to come and tutor me in flat twisting. I am so Learning disabled. How in the world can I do a french braid (not good at it but I can do them) and not do a flat twist.
Anyways. I been missing you.
Smooches.

Yes, I heard it comes in a smaller jar but the whole foods by me doesn't have that size. Only the large $30 size. I should call the management over there and find out why.

IB, you look FAB!!! I got the flat twist vibe too ... I just did mine in 5. They are horrendous b/c I don't really know how to properly do them, but I figure my hair will bend/curl as long as it's in some-kinda-flat-twist, lol. I'll make sure to post pics of mine en la manana.
Did you do yours on dry hair?

2ND DAY DOUBLE STRAND FLAT TWIST HAIR
The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good.
PSALMS 53:1
Good Wednesday morn:
So I was checking out the articels and info on CN's home page yesterday and came across a youtube video of SKEETA doing a fake-out hair cut. I thought it was interesting because I actually considered doing this on my next wash n go, if I couldn't find the right gel for blending my curl patterns. It is cute and doesn't seem to take alot of time to do.
My hair 2nd day hair from the double strand flat twist out is still soft and bigger. However, it is a little frizzy, my ends seem to be a little dry and a little loss of curl definition in the front and crown resulted. Before sleeping on it yesterday, I sprayed slightly with aloevera gel/ peppermint tea/ grapseed oil mix spritz. Then I retwisted in the same 6 sections and unraveled with avocado oil.
I believe to get really nice 3rd day hair, I will have to use my spritz mix then reapply my friend's whipped shea/mango mix for moisture to the sections prior to retwisting. Hopefully, this will work. It not I have a homemade curly pudding I am itching to try for expected results of softness, frizz free and defining curls. I want this hairstyle to last until Friday (spa night). Then I have a nice treatment in store (involving indian powder and a deep moisturizing overnight conditioner mix, of course ).
I did recieve compliments and questions on today's big hair from my coworkers asking how I got my hair this way
Since I was getting a couple questions about how I twist and what they look like, I WILL POST A PIC OF MY TWISTED HAIR LATER.
HAVE A WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY DOLLS!!!!!
