New Henna Head

As of right now I am sitting here with a head full of henna under two shower caps and a scarf. I still have about 10 more mins before I start rinsing to see my new henna hair. I started this process last night with the help of a friend. I co-washed my hair, and detangled it, laid out my newspapers and prepared to put the henna on my hair.

My Henna Mixture:
100g of Jamila henna
1.5 cups green tea (cooled)
2-3 tablespoons of honey

I mixed together the henna and green tea before I hoped in the shower to wash my hair and then added the honey right before application.

We applied the henna to real small sections of my hair till it was all done. Then I slapped on 2 shower caps and a scarf for good measure, or at least what I thought was going to be good measure..LOL Better safe than sorry I still laid a towel out on my pillow and good thing I did, because when I woke up this morning I still had henna leakage and there as a little pile of henna on the towel that seeped through to my pillowcase, and then down to the pillow itself. Oh well, they are just going to have to say stained.

So far this has been an intersting experience. I was concerned about the smell, but in actuality the smell doesn't bother me at all, just smells real "earthy". I am anxious to see my results.
