My henna with cinnamon results was not good at all. The cinnamon had a strong tingle on my scalp for an hour or so. The aroma was so strong it gave me a headache and I have no color or tint in my hair at all!! One good thing is the frizz is controlled.

I used Henna that I purchased in December, does anyone know how long henna stays fresh?

Even though you didn't get the color you wanted, your hair looks great!!! Smile

I know nothing about henna so I won't be of any help unfortunately. Lol

Your hair looks good. How long did you let your mix sit? Maybe the color didn't release. What did you use in your mix?

Thank you! I mixed the henna with lemon and cinnamon and let it sit for 12 hours. I left it in my hair overnight, in was in my hair for another 12 hours. I don't know what happened! I'm going to order Butters-n-Bars new Burgundy Henna batch for next month's henna treatment.

Thank you!! Sometimes I squirt the B5 gel into an empty container and dip my finger in and smooth it over a strand that I'm about to twist. However, for the style above I applied all of my products while I was in the shower. I parted my hair in 4 sections and used maybe a 1/2 dollar size on each section. I really try to apply by feel so once I feel my hair feels smooth, I know that it's enough. (I hoped that helped)

Hey there. On the henna, according to the BnB website, you use cinnamon to brown down the reds in henna. So I think that's why you didn't get the red you wanted. Also, I ordered the spice mix and it says you boil the cinnamon in lemon juice first and then strain it. That way the pure cinnamon won't be in your hair becuase I heard it does burn. Anyway, hope that helps.

So, this weekend I tried 2 new products...(drum roll)...My Honey Child's Olive You scalp cleanser and Olive You deep conditioner. They were very moisturizer and smells yummy!!! Additional details in weeks to come, to see how my hair likes it for long term use.

So last night I tried my version of "pineappling". My hair is not long enough to pull into a ponytail at the top. So I put the top of a knee high around my head and moved it up to make a high puff and put a satin bonnet on.

This morning took the headband off and my hair was still standing high! smh! I walked around the apt. getting the kids ready for school it dropped a bit but I looked like Hey Arnold!

So today I'm sporting a low puff....
