No....I can't see any. I don't know why. I thought it was just my work computer, but I can't see the pictures from home either. Bummer!!!

Ok I said I would come back with results of hair day. Well I will definitely use he mixer for this conditioner. It was something special trying to get those banana piece out of my hair. My shower was a sight to see when I finished. With all of that my hair feels great, smells great, and the shine is great!

I finished the bottle of Gold Red cellophane so I'll be going back to my Red Red in October. Let's get ready for the in your face red!

OK, I feel your pain on the "nanner" issue. I did that once and was picking nanner outta my hair for days...

In hair news we're doing pretty good. My hair is loving Shea Moisture Volumizing Conditioner, FLS, and Vitaki oil. Now I need to get some more conditioner. Target is the only place that carries it and only the Target in LA - I can't find it anywhere close to me so I'm considering paying shipping fee since I don't know when I'll be back that way.

My son and I are supposed to watch a movie tonight. I think I'm bringing my shears and will be doing an serious search and destroy. I think its time for a trim too.

This morning I mixed up a fresh batch of body oil.


Aging/Dry Skin Body oil 8/14/10

1. shea butter

2. coconut butter

3. mango butter

4. hemp oil apricot oil

5. avocado oil

6. myrrh

7. glycerin (very little)

8. aloe vera (very little)

9. Peppermint oil (5 drops)

10. Lavendar oil (5 drops)

11. Vitamin E oil

12. Sage oil (10 drops)

13. Apricot oil



I said I was going to do better with tracking my recipes and detailing my resulsts. So we'll see how this one works.



Oh! The Indian store products with mineral oil need to get out of my house. I just can't bring myself to use them and feel good about it. I tried to fix the jasmine oil to use for my body oil. The smell is horrible and I think the mineral oil caused the butters to harden. So they're sitting on the table in a bag. I'm so tempted to throw them away.



Mineral oil haters - would you throw them away or would you give them away?

I'd give away the mineral oil stuff. There are some folks out there that like mineral oils

BBD, my body oil works great. I made a big bottle; I used an old glycerin bottle. I make it by the bottle so there are a lot of ingredients but it isn't a lot. I used to make small bottles but I got tired of mixing oils every week.

Ok in hair news...I did an all day and overnight DC.
1. Banana
2. Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose
3. Vitaki, olive, castor oils
4. Tresseme
5. Coconut milk
I cowashed and detangled with Suave's Green Apple after rinsing the DC. My hair still feels like bananas. I ran out of my Shea Moisture Volumizing conditioner and used the hair milk. Hair came out pretty good.

I'm going to post some pictures once I get my camera out of my purse...

I let the bananas go for a while! hahaha I got tired of my shower looking like the remains of a truly dead vampire hahahaha!!!! So yesterday I cowashed with the rest of the Suave Green Apple that was in my shower and VO5 (Peach). I stilled with KCCC. Man, do I love this stuff!

Have you tried the baby food bananas...I've seen that suggestion...says it's easier to wash out! :-)

No, I haven't tried baby food. I had ripe bananas all over the place so I figured I use them since I wasn't making banana pudding.

Yeah it has grown a bit. I just knew it was going to be a lot longer by now, but I guess I can't keep the scissors out of it. I need another trim now. Plus, I have so much shrinkage that I really don't see growth until I wash it.

I actually drove to LA for my meeting yesterday and stopped by Target. I purchased more Shea Moisture Volumizing conditioner, Restorative Conditioner, and the Deep Treatment Masque and DevaCurl's AnGel since it was on clearance.

Tomorrow is wash day and I'm a bit excited to see what I use

I did use some of the deep treatment masque today to moisture before I seal. Man! This stuff smells good!

I tried the DevaCurl AnGel with Shea Moisture Volumizing conditioner on top of my glycerin and aloe. My hair is still wet...





I was scared I was going to have white balls but it cleared up before I finished my hair. I sealed with Vitaki oil. I'll let you know how it dries.

Ok my hair is dry and I have more shrinkage than what I get from the Elastica FLS and of course KCCC. The DevaCurl AnGel dried soft - remember I sealed with Vatiki oil. I doubt that I'll repurchase at this point. I'll try it a few more times before I make a final decision.

Ohh, you make banana pudding. Do you share your recipe? I had some Saturday it was so good. If you make it with packets of Jell-o pudding, never mind but thanks. I want a recipe for the old fashion one with custard made on the stove. My nanny made it so good. The one Saturday was close.

I like the Elasta FLS. Do you have the one in the tube with orange and brown lettering.

Chrs, yes I make the Jell-o one. I haven't tried it from scratch just yet. hahahaha

I tried to make Paul Deen's zucchini cakes and they came out horrible! But thankfully my BBQ and steaks that I put on the grill came out wonderful Me and grilling are becoming good friends!

I have two bottles - one with the orange and brown lettering and the other one has black I believe.

Saturday, I had what I called a Sundresses & Sandals event with my girls. We came out for a movie (Eat Pray Love) and dinner at Cheesecake Factory. Of course, we wore sundresses and sandals in celebration of the last weekend of summer. We had so much fun! I think I'm going to do one next quarter called Giggles and Hugs. Now I just need to figure out what I want to do.

Sunday, I did something different. I did the oil cleansing method on my face. I massaged my face really well while my shower was warming up. I left my hair uncovered and I steamed my hair and skin really well. I cleaned the oil off of my face while in the shower. My hair didn't get direct water outside of the steam. When I got out my hair and skin felt great!

The only down side is that I applied QB Heavy Cream and some oil (can't remember which one) and by the time my hair was fully dry it was a bit crunchy.

Somehow I hurt my back Saturday night/Sunday morning and I've been in pain since. So my hair hasn't been getting much attention. Last night I just took my drugged body to bed with no satin bonnet and I can't guarantee that I stayed on my satin pillow. I'm going to try a massage this afternoon. So all in all it will be a good weekend - great time with my girls, great food, and a massage that I didn't plan for
