Henna My Hair Tonight!!!

I will be hennaing my hair tonight and will be posting photos of my mix and my hair!!! Stay tuned!

I did mine for the first time tonight too!

I too did my first henna....the results was not like I expected. First of all my natural hair (transition 6 months) turned a orange color my hair was very dry. I called the 800 Number to find out what I did wrong. They said that maybe I had a build up of on my hair (product) but instead next time I should use dish washing liquid to clean any product build off my hair. An that instead I should use with henna w/indigo to make my hair darker. So I am going to attempt to henna again this week to get ride of this orange glow [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Henna will turn your hair an orangy/redish color and then you have to put the indigo on after! I will up load my pics now to show you and I used www.mehandi.com and the henna/indigo combo was only $15.00!!!

I mixed the henna with freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1 egg, olive oil and macadamia nut oil covered it with plastic wrap and let it sit for 8 hours before putting it on my hair.

Let the henna sit on my hair for 3 hours

This is the texture of my hair now! Softer, more manageable and a looser curl!!!

Koils- It came out really well! Looks like you got lots of sheen!

I finally henna'd my hair 2nite after putting it off for like 2 weeks! LOL! So glad that I did! This is not my first time henna'ing though...its my 3rd! I had planned to henna twice this month, but oh well...looks like I may have to shoot for that goal next month! Glad to get it in on this last week of January! LOL!

I just finished putting in my first henna ever! I'm super excited. I can't wait to rinse it out tomorrow morning. I will post my mix and pics in the other thread but I just wanted to share my excitement! This henna forum helped with a lot of questions I had about henna.

I am putting my Henna in tonight as well in about an hour or so. I bought the henna/indigo which was only 15 dollars. I am using half henna and half indigo mixture. I did it!!!!!!!! I can't wait until I see what it looks like when I rinse it.. I was a little nervous but when I started doing it the nervousness went away.. here are some pics

OMG! I hope you didn't use dish washing liguid to wash your hair....use baking soda and water instead...it will remove build up and make your hair soft..it won't strip our already dry hair.
