Afternoon Curlfriends!!

Today I am rocking day 3 of a WnG and she is doing just fine. I am still battling the shrinkage monster, but all in all Sasha is curly, shiny and no frizz. I simply sprayed my spritz (EVOO, Water and whatever conditioner is near, I think this batch had Moisture Maniac in it) I finished it so I will make a fresh batch tonight. It is 70% water and my curls love it. They plump right up! After being smased to my head all night! LOL!

I want to do a roller set again, but not tonight, my honey is on again for 2 hours. Can you say "Jack is Back!!!" Sweetdrk1 - Page 17 678474 Love that man!!

I am the same way re: waiting until the last minute. Your blanket looks so soft. I bet the baby will love the feeling against his or her skin.

evening ladies,

I am at the end of the day, the WnG is still holding up. I am finally at the "it gets bigger every day" phase. I will do my best to take pis tmrw. I have a wake to attend tmrw (I can't take the funeral) a dear friend lost her grandma and like me she was grandma's girl...I know how I felt when Moma went home. That is when I stopped attending funerals, I can't take it. So I am gonna put on my big girl pannies and be there for my girlfriend as much as I can.

I just hope I can sleep..that's all for now.

Sweet,

I'm up crocheting a hat for my brother...I'm sorry to hear about your friend's grandmother passing. I lost my grandmother a week after I told her I was pregnant with little bit. I miss her dearly. It's good that you'll be there for her, but I do understand how you feel about funerals.

I'm sorry about your friend's grandmother passing. You know I know how you feel about funerals. I have gone back into funeral retirement...no more funerals for a long time. I still think about the one I attended a couple of weeks ago.

Aw sorry to hear about your friends grandmother. I also totally understand how hard it is to attend funerals. Apart from the sadness of it all, I've attended multiple funerals each year of my husband's family members for at least the last 3 or 4 years. I never want to go to another funeral again! Funerals stink...but when I recently lost my grandfather a few months back, it was nice to receive the calls, kind words, and prayers. Be strong for your friend, she'll appreciate your presence!

Thank you sissy! I know but I want to be able to just wear it with no head band but those front twist...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Sweetdrk1 - Page 17 Affraid

Maybe that could be a challenge....well at least for me "Wearing styles without a head band for a week" lol! That would be a challenge for me for sure....my avatar is the only picture I have with out a head band. I've only worn my hair like that 4 times since my bc. I'm trying....

Again I apologize for the confusion...I was trying to explain my dilema. Messed up hair...last minute wedding to attend, my only resource was a WnG. Would you like a side order of shrinkage?

Sweetdrk1 - Page 17 Dsc01111

LOL I love the versatiliy of my curls..I really do. I am sooo tired..today was a marathon for me. I had the last minute wedding to attend. Uhm the bride was 2 hours late..so uhm no reception for me. Today was also my holiday gathering with my sister circle. (the original date was out done by a snow storm) They are the reason I was crocheting like a nut this week. They loved the scarves Sweetdrk1 - Page 17 678474 I had to get to pooka before they closed. Sweetdrk1 - Page 17 Icon_cheers I have my sample of their new conditioner. I will let you all know what I think. The ingrediants sound like it will be a winner. The final thing was to drop of my Shelbey by her cousins house.

To those of you with children, do you you look at your child and think to yourself. I did a good damn job!!! LOL!! I had one of those moments today! Look at my girl ya'll!!
Sweetdrk1 - Page 17 Dsc01112

Hair plans:

what I have learned is I have to plan what I am going to do with my hair. So at this point I am leaning towards a roller set I haven't done that in a while...so we shall see. What ever I do it will have to be done early. Tmrw is playoffs (I Sweetdrk1 - Page 17 Herz Football) and then my man Jack Bauer is back!!! I am so very excited!!! Sweetdrk1 - Page 17 617583 So EVERYthing will be done by 8pm or it is not getting done! Shhhhhhh my man will be on the screen!!!

WOW...that is major shrinkage, but very beautiful curls. You do a good job with working with and styling your hair. Very nice.....

Hey KNH Thank you for all the love, go back a few pages, you should see my twists. But at anyrate here is what I do. THe TST has been my challenge because I keep comparing my hair to others. For example, have you checked out Lynnieluve? Her Twist are sooo juicy and her twist out is to die for. Then there is Serenity, I Sweetdrk1 - Page 17 Herz her TSTO!! Now you let me tell it, I still have work to do. In the picture above the twist were the results of a failed flat twist out. Sweetdrk1 - Page 17 Dsc01026

I didn't do it in time enough for it to dry so it looked a hot mess, I worked with it, wound up wearing a bun. Then I did the twist on slightly damp hair. I used my shea butter mixture which is unrefined shea butter and Pooka Pure and simple hair nectar, I whipped with a hand mixer until it's light and fluffy. I apply a little to eachsection and twist. Here is an example of the twist after a few days, they are so ready to come out here...LOL!
Sweetdrk1 - Page 17 Dsc01027

I normally wear my twist for a few days and then do a twist out. The picture you reference above is another example of good results. I am still struggling with the twist just standing up in the front like Serenity. I have found that retwisting at night in larger twist helps me keep them a bit longer. I really hope this helps.

Good morning Curlfriends,

Thank you all for the virtual hugs, I needed them all, trust me. Well I am dressed and tired, I didn't sleep well at all. The good part is I dreamt of my Moma all night long. I will never be able to explain the hole her absence has left, so it felt good being with her spiritually! ANYway..before I start crying and I am not even at the church...good grief!!

The hair...the front curls are slowly starting to hang...can you see them? *smiling softly* I am so curious to see what they will look like when they have enough weight to fight off the shrinkage. Last night it looked bigger, but not so much this morning..go figure.

is it me or does my hair seem thin on that side there?? Sweetdrk1 - Page 17 Icon_scratch Oh well...and the blanket is coming along
Sweetdrk1 - Page 17 Dsc01120

Well let me put my shoes on and get out of here. I will check in later.
