My hands keep turning orange?
I have hennaed my hair a couple times but only the last time did I use henna from mehandi.com. Since that last time, every time I wash my hair my palms and the water turn orange. I made sure to rinse my hair till the water ran clean when I hennaed so I'm not sure whats going on. Has anyone else had this experience?

WOW! My hands turns orange when I apply the henna. Not after rinsing it out!

I have gloves from sally's but when washing my hair I can't feel what I'm doing so I don't wear them. I only wear them when I henna.
I'm not complaining I was just wondering if this is something unique to me. The color fades in a day on my palms and I like the color on my nails.

I have had the same problem, however it has gotten better since i bought some gloves -from Sallys.
I also noticed that the water from my hair is slightly orange when i cowash. But it's barely noticeable, not enough to turn my hands orange.

Same thing happens to me! For a few washes after I henna, the water is orange. The color lasts on my hands for a few days too.

I was beginning to wonder the same thing. I have recently done my first henna and I still have faint orange finger tips and drippies. I guess that's what we get for using henna with such high die content. I hair is definitely still auburn so i don't think the color is fading...of is it?

yes - wear gloves when you apply and rinse.. then apply a thin watery conditioner with gloves, let sit then take the gloves of and rinse conditioner out. It should be much less stain afterwards. you should rinse until the water is clear, and then cowash 1-2x to be on the safe side. Your scalp can get really itchy if you have any residue left.
I personally wear two pairs of gloves, especially with Jamila henna, and sometimes I get the more pricey Nitrile gloves, cause they last longer and I can reuse them -- seem to resist stain better than latex. Sounds like you are doing everything right! Enjoy! Henna usually fades in 5-8 weeks, depending on the hair's porosity and your regimen.
Blessings!

Re: My hands keep turning orange?
I didn't use gloves when I rinsed. I used the hose attachment (I am a sink washer ) to pre-rinse so I didn't touch my hair initially. Then I used my hands. I was just ready to deal with the color of my hands after the fact but thankfully there was no dye on my hands when I finished.
