Highlights
When my hair was relaxed I had the cutest highlights;
while transitioning, and clipping off the relaxed ends along the way, all the highlights were eventually gone.
Well, now, I miss 'em!
I've been thinking about getting them back, but I just wanted to know, would that be a safe thing for me to do? Would it mess up with the texture of my hair?
Just curious...if anyone can help answer this, that'd be great!

Re: Highlights
If you use a dye with peroxide and/or sodium hydroxide than you may relax the texture of your hair slightly. How did your hair hold up with highlights when you had a relaxer? If it did not break off then, than it may not be too damaging to your hair now.

Re: Highlights
Earlier this year I dyed my hair and it relaxed my curl a bit. Never quite the same again.... now that I think about it I have several stringy pieces of hair on the back of my head that weren't that way before the color .
If you do highlights/color be careful.

I shouldn't do it! I have it done once and never again! It's not natural and most of the times your own hair color is beautiful, without doing anything because it's unique! That's the way I feel about it.
And as said before it's damaging your hair!

Re: Highlights
I suggest having a professional consultation. I've been bleached for over 4 years and no problems, issues, change of texture, nothing. It loosens slightly for 2-3 days immediately after a color touch up and then goes right back to normal.
