Henna Over Old Highlights?
Okay so I'm planning on trying henna this weekend and it just hit me; I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I WANT TO DO~
I bleached a few parts of my hair almost a year ago which I love but sorta regret at the same time because it's somewhat damaged but not too bad.Luckily it wasn't a lot. I like the color but want a change. I have henna and indigo but I'm not sure what color I want to achieve. I like the idea of doing a gloss as my first treatment but I want all the benefits of henna+some color. Basically, if I decide to do a gloss will my hair color (the blonde) change as as much as if I do a full treatment? Also, if I wanted to tone down the red a little, how much indigo would it take? I'm over-thinking it and confusing myself...

Re: Henna Over Old Highlights?
I'm actually henna'ing my hair right now over highlights so I'll be able to let you know my results in a few hours.
From what I've researched, henna will color grays a coppery red, so I'm assuming they'll color your blond highlights about the same as gray hair, probably a little darker.
I don't have any experience with indigo but maybe someone else could help with the proportions for how much to add to tone down the red. HTH!

Update! The henna turned my highlights red, but it's not overbearing nor coppery red. They blend very well with the rest of my hair. The henna actually made my hair brown, even though I didn't add anything extra to it to make it that way. All I added was green tea and a splash of acv. I hope this answers your question. Good luck!

That sounds pretty nice
I actually decided to do a henna gloss. I'm mixing as we speak!
