Denman D3- mods and not: Detangling Empty Denman D3- mods and not: Detangling

I was very hesitant to try the denman d3 brush because everybody was having problems with it and they were modifying it. I guess I was shocked when I bought it because it was the best thing ever. It didn't take out as much hair as a shower/detangling comb, and it is so unbelievably easy to detangle with it.

(My hair is about 5 inches Smile )

Does anyone else find it so easy to detangle with the denman d3, or what is your experience?

Never bought a denman (but I wanted one...just could not find them in stores)...but I love the tangle teezer...Also, I read Nikki talking about 2 different denmans. I think she referred to one as the shredder and the other one (the paddle brush???) I think she liked better...

I modified my denman D3 last November and its fine. But I purchased the Denman D12 comb (3-rows, $8.49 Amazon.com and also sold at Sally's as well) about 3 weeks ago and its way better and does not shredd my hair. I also purchased the tangle teaser at the same time. I like them both, I use the D12 comb as my initial detangler (replaced the shower/wide-tooth comb completely). It glides through the hair much easier too me than the tangle teaser as a first detangler. Once I do my initial detangling, I use the tangle teaser for removing the finer shedded hair and for smoothing my hair before 2-strand twisting.

Both of these products have reduced my detangling time significantly and I have lost very little hair each week since my hair is being detangled with both. Now I look forward to my weekly wash day and I no longer dread detangling my 4a/4b hair (medium/thin) hair. No more breakage, yea!!!!!

As you probably know, there are several Denman brushes and they all have their intended purpose. I bought the D3 because I wanted to use it to smooth my hair prior to setting it on the curlformers only. I did modify it and I have not had any problems with my hair being torn out or damages.
