Jamila Hair Question
I found Jamila Henna at an Indian Grocer and it's only $1.99 a package but it is not in foil. Is the kind in the foil package the only kind that is good for your hair? What will this other kind do if I use it instead??

Re: Jamila Hair Question
I don't have it with me. It doesn't say BAQ but it believe it does say Henna For Hair which is confusing. I saw on one of CurlyNikki's posts that she uses the kind in the foil only. =o( Was my great find not so great?

Re: Jamila Hair Question
The box should say Superior Quality Henna on one side and Premiere Qualite Henne on the other. It wouldn't say BAQ on the box.
The box should look like this:

Re: Jamila Hair Question
The henna you picked up is good. I have two boxes of Jamila and came in plastic. I just did a treatment this week and my hair did well. It is superior quality art.

I bought one this weekend for $3.99 from an Indian store and it was in cellophane wrapping and mine says :Superior Quality Haircolor, which the box in the photo just has "henna" underneath superior quality. Did I get the non BAQ version? Help!!!

Its so hard to say because when I first start looking for Jamila Henna online, I found some on Amazon.com, but a buyer who purchased from a specific vendor was sent a fake product? The review is here. *****Beware****** Sent Fake Henna
It basically says that "Superior Quality Hair Color" is NOT real Jamila. Its hard to say...

Re: Jamila Hair Question
LadyDivah, where in NYC did you spend so much for Jamila henna? I found that same box for $1.49 on Coney Island Avenue and Foster Avenue at Zaitoon, 1082 Coney Island Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11230, Tel: 718-434-3450.LadyDivah wrote:CarlaAR wrote:The box should say Superior Quality Henna on one side and Premiere Qualite Henne on the other. Re: Jamila Hair Question
I got it from Singh Trading on 28th and Lexington Avenue. I live in Manhattan so navigating Brooklyn is foreign to me-lol This will be my first time putting a henna in my hair. I ordered some from hennasooq in the meanwhile..jsut didn't want a let down in case I had some bootleg henna.

Re: Jamila Hair Question
So I used this henna in the plastic package and I think it's fine. My hair wasn't overly dry, the color came out nice, and it's back to shining. I think this henna is fine to use. Thanks everyone for your help!

BAQ Jamilla Henna
Hey ladies! I have spent a some time researching the best quality of Jamila henna. My research points to Jamila Henna in the green and yellow colored box rather than the yellow box. I found several websites that generally says that Jamila Henna is one of the best henna products available. However to get more specific, there were two websites that I found that specifically pointed out this multi-colored box as the BAQ henna. I hope this helps. I plan to use it soon for the first time.
PS.. Here are the two links I found the information on - http://www.mehndiskinart.com/hair_henna_dye.htm and http://reviews.ebay.com/How-to-recognize-Jamila-Body-Art-Quality-Henna-Powder_W0QQugidZ10000000008441330
