i hate humidity and rain

I woke up this morning, undid my braids, and I had a GORGEOUS braid-out. I wish I would've taken a picture but anyway it was my best ever. As soon as I stepped out POOF, I looked like a frizzy cotton ball. The humidity and rain destroyed my hair, needless to say, it was a horrible hair day. I know some naturals say humidity has been their best friend since they transitioned but it's soooo not mine lol.

Ummm. I've heard naturals say they don't run away from the rain.... But I still do... I run fast too because in my case it can ruin any "dry" style

lol yea im like that too..I hear so many naturals say "I love water!!" or "I spray water on my hair everyday" and "I no longer run from rain" lol not me!! I prefer my hair to be stretched..any bit of water makes it shrinks!! so i stick to water based products and keep it twisted when it rains

I do not spritz my hair unless it's in kinky twists!!!

Yea exactly it ruins any set that I do: twistout, braidout, etc.

I spritz with water when I REtwist lol. Water touches my hair in the shower, with moisturizers, and from my spritz bottle but outside NEVERRR haha

Where I work is close to
the rainforest. It has rained every day in January so far. On Tuesday I was foolish enough to wear a braidout to work. I didnt use gel, only shea butter. Needless to say by 10:30 I looked like Sideshow Bob. Thank goodness for the hairpins in my purse!

Humidity and my hair are not friends

@wyldhoney: I couldn't imagine having that type of weather every day I wouldn't know what to do with myself, hats would be my BEST friend lol!

I know what you mean, I did a braid out on Thursday, and we had light snow where I am that day, and my hair was a curly puff by the end of the day.
