My hair type?

Hey ladies,


Okay I need help with trying to figure out what hair type am I? Okay this is the thing when I was transitioning My hair was really wavy and curly at the roots and of course with permed ends. In the month of my BC right before I decided to do a BC I notice my roots were super wavy that my mom was like "You have some really wavy hair" But here is the thing when I BC'd my beautician of 7 plus years was like your hair is really curly that after she chopped of all the perm out. But i personally couldnt see the curls of yet it just looked like an short Afro. So im lost between if Im in the 3 or 4 range for hair type. I dont know my curl pattern? Im asking because I want to begin to buy the right products for my hair type. I do have braids in my hair right now as a protective hair style so could anyone help me figure out my hair type. I think I have a mixture of both of my parents hair type my dad has natural curly hair and my mom hair is really somewhat tight curls its not nappy nor super wavy neither. Should i just wait until I take my braids down to see the hair type. Note when i was younger said the reason she put a perm in my hair is because my hair use to shrink up. It would be super longer then next think she noticed it would shrink right back up
