i was just about to come in here and mention vybz, but i've been beaten to the punch. he looks A MESS. i mean, it's sad, but really? :/ look around his eyes! and his wife looks like she's done a bit of skin bleaching as well. they have brown-skinned children and they better not eff with them



on a side note:....has anyone noticed that all these skin bleachers (sosa, vybz) are carribbean? what goes on over there? a woman i used to work with who was from guyana has obviously had her skin bleached. it's sad.

Actually indians , americans and africans bleach their skin i'm caribbean i don't bleach neither does anyone in my family but i know skin bleaching is very common where ever there are people of color including the caribbean and The united states

i know people of all walks of life bleach their skin (from korean to indian to jamaican), but the examples i've seen have all been from carribbean countries. is there a strong emphasis on having light skin in these countries? i know there is some, since in a lot of countries there is a emphasis on beautiful = lighter skin. idk. i'm rambling haha

I did a search and there whole forums of people looking for the HG of skin whitening just like natural heads look for the HG of haircare. smdh

I read an article in Vibe YEARS ago that talked about skin bleaching in Africa.

There are skin bleaching commercials in the Middle East.

In Asian-societies, they also believe that "light is right".

Skin bleaching...smh. But I guess its no different from my Dad(step-dad really) trying to turn his pale whiteness to a tan like my brother. The end result every summer is always lobster red.

nope the pressure to bleach would be the same in any other societies Actually one of my friend's mom does it and we make fun of her every time we see her but i think skin bleaching and the people that do it are victim of some serious self esteem issues smh so the stuff the jamaican guy used is some special kinda of skin bleach ? who's making this stuff smh can't people get cancer from this ?

MY Uncle in law ( married to my aunt white guy) tans so much last time i saw him for the holidays he was looking reddish brown i told him he looked darker he was so happy he said he is tired of looking so pale in our family pics he gets spray tans and those bed ones and goes to the beach daily smh we all look so much better the way we were intended to be i got a few dark spot on my face i noticed the other day and was thinking about getting something to help it but i;m scared i might end up looking like sammy sosa so not sexy smh

@creolebeauty lol My dad tries so hard he figures that since he has two Black kids he should look dark too. smh I been telling him for the last 5 years just to give up. On another note, I also have dark spots all over my face but Black soap and shea butter from butters n bars has improve it greatly.

I don't really put much on my skin but maybe i should start to improve it im not ready to look like micheal jackson RIp smh
