AYURVEDIC TREATMENTS Empty AYURVEDIC TREATMENTS

Hi!!
So I'm in my 6th month of transitioning.....:-)...I had a short rihanna-esque bob.It was a terror!lol Im low maintenance and that's NOT a no frills cut lol.Especially after always having long hair.Anywho I'm into healthy hair and after the terror of cutting my hair,I resorted to psuedo "protective" styles to grow it back...ARGH! BRAIDS. ...WEAVES..it's like I have a Sasha Fierce theme going..where's the real me?But to the point..my edges are growing back after looking VERY stressed and I've been using Castor oil (which is FAB) but I'd like to try some of the ayurvedic products, but im not a fan of it being a chemistry project having to mix it ,so there's a site that sells the products as Shampoos and or oils. Please check it out if you're familiar with these types of products and let me know if you agree., Smile see the link below.
thx!!!!!!!!!!!

Molly, I am familiar with ANB. She has a good selection. I have not personally ordered there, but it is pretty high on my list when I need one of the products. The owner (not sure if she is full or a partner) is EkuaSoul. She is on Naturallycurly.com. Many members there have bought from her and I have read very good reviews. Actually, if you buy today or tomorrow, you can receive a 20% & 15%, respectively. This is not an exhaustive list, but if you are interested, here are some other sites to peruse for ayurvedic products:

banyanbotanicals.com
butters-n-bars.com - Butterqueen is a member of this forum.
tattvasherbs.com
hennasooq.com - I buy my organic henna, organic amla, and cocoveda oil here.

Hi! I checked out the site and a few of the products I saw on there are products I've heard good things about. I think you should look for reviews first but if you decide to go ahead and try a few things, l don't think it would be a bad thing. But yeah, nothing that I saw on the site looks to me like it would hurt your hair. Hope this helps at all :-)

I shop at Henna Sooq and I have tried ABN before. I'm a Cassia Obovata lover for treating my hair and that's where I shop for it.

AYURVEDIC TREATMENTS Empty Re: AYURVEDIC TREATMENTS

Post by atangledmess 14th January 2011, 3:49 pm

Hi Makeupvixen, I recently tried Cassia after doing a henna a couple of weeks ago. I really loved the results of the henna on my hair. It was silky, smooth and easier to detangle, lawrd thank u. However, the henna loosened my curl pattern which wasn't a big deal since I don't wear my hair out, it tangles too much. My hair has also thinned out from my frustrations with the tangles and knots that I just cut them out and pulled them out, ergo the thining. The Cassia has tightened my curls some but it's not silky, smooth and easy to detangle like the henna. I think I did something wrong with the mix: cassia, some conditioner (don't remember the name, something left over), honey and water. I left it on for under an hour as I was getting sleepy and had to work the next day. Can you tell me what did you use in your mix. I will say, this morning I put some jojoba oil and ms jessie butter cream and it feels much better, softer. I'm still trying to figure this out. Thanks for your response.
