Natural Relaxer? Empty Natural Relaxer?

Post by Ty-Ty 3rd December 2009, 12:44 pm

A friend of mine just told me that a friend of her's uses an all natural relaxer. Does anybody have info on this? Are these people still considered natural in your mind?

Natural Relaxer? Empty Re: Natural Relaxer?

Post by Kea::curls 3rd December 2009, 1:10 pm

while i am a newbie and still am not caught up on all the chemistry/ingredients behind it...but the website blatantly says:

1. that it makes the hair "feel natural" (i.e. its actually NOT natural)

2. that it "loosens your natural curl pattern" (i.e. it changes your natural curl pattern, thus the hair will NOT be in its natural state anymore and will not be able to revert)

that being said...i personally would RUN for the hills! lol Smile

Thats what I thought. When I heard about it, I was like wow! Yeah, I wasn't considering it but, I was dumbfounded when it was mentioned to me. The girl that has it has really nice "naturally relaxed" (lol) hair.

I came across "Natural-laxer" last year online, never purchased it though http://www.treasuredlocks.com/natural-herbal-hair-relaxer-texturizer-chemical-free.html

The ingredients are "a blend of carefully selected sun-dried herbs: myrtle, valerian, rose petals, red clover, fenugreek, nettle and sage mixed with pulverized unadulterated Sahara Clay"

Maybe that's what she uses?

I looked into the natural-laxer when I first decided to transition but didnt follow up. It seems a lot like a bentonite clay hair treatment with some herbs thrown in. Very moisturizing and defining but definitely not straightening

Hey ladies,

Check out this website, www.bakabeauty.com
A girl in one of my classes said that she uses this...it's the "natural laxer" that was mentioned above. I actually thought she was completely natural but apparently she has been transitioning since Aug.
