Aloe vera gel Empty Aloe vera gel

Is the Aloe vera gel you talk about especially for hair or is the the gel you see in the store that you can use for sunburns?

The gel that I have came from Trader Joe's. It is "99% pure" but contains other ingredients. I don't think it is significantly different from what is in the drug store/Walmart for sunburn. I use it when my skin is irritated.

For moisture on my hair (specifically as an ingredient in kimmaytube leave-in) I use Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera juice. Others have written that the gel is also moisturizing, I just have not put it on my hair yet.
