lol, I love Elf too! I've already watched it once this season I'm such a big kid.

I just set Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas to record on DVR. It's just not Christmas without those shows!!!

I have a 13 year old cousin that lives in STL. She text messages me day and night... there must be a generational gap because I have absolutely no idea what she's talking about most days. The abbreviations and purposeful misspellings are so confusing. She's precious though

lol, yeah its cute here in NC when it snows the kids all go out and attempt to make 'mud' men, lol. It's never quite enough to make a snowman, and they end up all brown and slushy. School gets canceled and we don't have to go to work... all for a tiny bit of snow. Loves it.
Back in STL, it'd have to be the start of the next ice age for them to cancel anything. I'm not mad at it.

I lived in San Antonio when I was in the Air Force, and I remember when 2 inches of snow completely shut the city down! I generally don't worry about myself driving in the snow, as I know I'm going to slow down. I worry about the folks in the SUVs who think they're invincible with 4-wheel drive, even though it doesn't help them at all on ice....

Had a BLAST at our GTG yesterday. All of the ladies are mad cool and hella beautiful. Oh and those adorable babies. LUV them!!! Our very own Nikki is a N-U-T!! I am so looking forward to the next meeting.

Last thing...I AM SICK OF FOOTBALL!!!

I had a great weekend! Went to ATL to hang out, walked into a sports bar to meet one set of friends that still live there, but felt like Norm from Cheers because everybody knew my name! lol A couple of girlfriends from B'ham were there too and we happened to be sitting right by each other, a huge party ensued while watching the AL Crimson Tide serve up some Gatormeat!! Then we hung out with Tuskegee Alumni until literally 5 AM!

Then today I went to the Falcons game to cheer on Michael Vick, I'm still a huge fan and he still got it!! He led his team on the field, was named Team Captain for the day and played well and scored!! Love it! I had a great weekend!! Now tired, resting for tomorrow!

I had to, my scalp was sore and itchy. My hair has turned into a spoiled little heffa. I used to keep styles in for two weeks with no problem. Now she want's something every week.

OMG I know! My teenage neices get on my nerves with the way they text/type. Letters are added or omitted, there are abbreviations I've never heard of (and when I find out what they mean I don't like it). I always tell them that I hope they know how to properly spell words when doing their school work or anything else! Geez, it's bad enough how some of these kids talk these days but now I need a translator for their texting!

Oh how nice! No tree for us this year since we're going to FL. But I will be putting up some decorations.

jamaicacurl, glad it's not just me! some of their abbreviations are longer than the damn words they're supposed to represent. I consider myself 'young and hip... in the know' but this new fangled texting language is beyond me. We have a fundamental failure to communicate, lol.

LOL for real! I know it's like a guessing game! What really trips me out is how they sometimes use the abbreviations (actually say the letters) when they're talking.
"OMG did you see that?" or "WTH are you trying to do?"

I'm like did you really just say the abbreviation? LOL
