When Twisting On Dry Hair
So I want to try twisting on dry hair to see which I prefer (wet or dry twists). I do like my wet twists set but I am trying to combat shrinkage. My question to you have twisted on dry hair, how do you do it? I do not want to use a blow dryer and I think if I try to detangle my 4a hair while dry it will break off. I will not attempt this until I am sure that what I will do will not harm my strands
Thanks In Advance!!!

When I twist my hair dry, I detangle it and put large twist in while it's wet and let it air dry. Once it is 90-100% dry, I make the large twist into smaller twist.

Re: When Twisting On Dry Hair
I do use a blow dryer to stretch my hair but if you don't wanna do this, try doing all your normal washing activities then band your hair with ouchless bands. This will stretch your hair while it air drys. After it dries, I apply a small amount of QB Amla/Olive Heavy Cream and QB Honey Hydrating Balm and twist in smaller twists and let it dry. Hope this helps!

Wow, Beautifultrace! You must have been reading my mind. I just blew my hair out on the cool setting and my Oyin Burnt Sugar and DB Vanilla Styling Cream literally just got off the UPS truck so I'm ready to try dry twisting. Please post how your turns out if you try.

Re: When Twisting On Dry Hair
Ok ladies so I banded my hair last night using HE TT as a leave in and sealed with whipped shea. I really like the concept of banding it worked out well for me. This morning I took the bands off and began twisting with African Pride Miracle cream. It only took about a hour, than I pinned the twists down because they still aren't long enough to hang. I LOVE the finished look!

Oooh, I like. Your twists are really nice. I'm still not brave enough to wear my twists out. What products did you use?

@ BeautifulTrace- awww thanks! My shrinkage is redic when I let it air dry.
@ JLow- Thanks! I got the idea to blow it out from reading your CSJ. I used Chi Silk Infusion & Aphogee Keratin and Green Tea Spray to blow dry. Then I used DB Transitioning Cream, DB Vanilla Styling Cream and Oyin Burnt Sugar on the twists.
