Twisting 2 inches of hair Empty Twisting 2 inches of hair

Post by rayray19 1st November 2010, 2:17 am

so i have about 2 inches of hair..i was playing in it last night and started to twist it annndd the twist stayed!!

so now im thinking about doing a twist out but would it be pointless to do on only 2 inches of hair..will i even see any difference?? should i wait till i get more length??

for those who twist their hair..when did you start twisting?? how many inches of hair were you working with??

I say go for it, you will never know until you try. I coiled before I started twisting. I just started twisting last week and I have about 3".

I started twisting my hair a week after I BC'd. I had about 1 3/4 inches of hair. Check out my fotki. Your twist out will make you hair look more textured at this length. You will have to leave your twist in for a few days to get definition. I hope this helps.

I agree, you should start now. My hair was about 1.5 to 2 inches when I started. My first twistout was really cute and gave my twa a totally different look.

ok so i did the twist out and i love it!! this was only a practice twist out so i didnt wear it out yet..i want to perfect it first..im at home (for fall break) and i left my ghemet AOHC in my apartment so they were kind of dry and lack shine..i also should of gel down my edges (they always have a mind of their own) instead of twisting them

I also notice the twist make my hair look a lot fuller and gives me more length

here some pics:

look at how much length a wash n go gives meVVV and how much a twist out gives me^^^

next time i plan on leaving the twist in longer to see if it will be even more defined..im soo excited to have a new style for my twa..and its a protective style!!!

Thanks for the pics, I am now inspired to try mine. I spend a lot of time inside, so a few days with twists will work, then when I want to head out, I can twist out and go!!!

Ok....I'm inspired. I can't stop coiling my hair anyway so I'm gonna give it a shot. What kind of product should I use to twist it? A leave in? How long should I leave them in?

I use eco styler gel to twist my hair when its wet, after i wash it..but when i re-twist my hair i use qhemets biologics AOHC..i loooove that stuff..my hair always feels soft and fluffy with it..I only leave them in at night..in the morning i untwist them and wear my twist out..I re twist them every night (it only takes about 45min, i usually do this while watching tv)..but you could leave them in longer..I plan on leaving them in 2morrow and covering them up with my beanie..

here some more pics of my twist out..as you can see im very proud of it at the moment lol...each day i learn how to perfect it even more
