How long do you think it will take to set the curl? I'm dry twisting with a bit of conditioner. Hopefully I wont look like a hot mess.

Please don't attempt this style right now, unless you are really in the mood. To avoid stress, choose one of your go-to styles.

So I went ahead a re-twisted. My curls were crushed after a pre-date nap. I'll report back on how it turns out. I will work some bobby pin or head band magic if it turns into a complete failure.

-Cheers

I agree with @MissFierce21, I wouldn't chance the style if you're not sure how its going to turn out! Would hate for it not to turn out right, then that'll be a whole nother issue trying to figure out how you will wear it! Go for what you know! Have fun on your date! Wish I had a date tonight, geez! LOL!

Hi Everyone,

The hair turned out great!! Bigger hair and even more defined curls. I left the twist in for 5 hours.

the date went well too;-)

I'm glad the 'do worked out. I've perfected my quick re-twist skills especially when I have to get out the door to work and something just isn't going right! If I don't have time for my hair to dry (6-8 hours), I don't soak my hair. I grab the section & mist lightly with a water bottle. Then I twist to the ends & dab a little bit of coconut oil on the ends to coil it. I try to work the coconut oil up & down the entire twist. I continue to get ready & then take the twist down at the last possible minute. Normally, it takes no more than 30 minutes to dry if I don't soak my hair. Some days when I get a little heavy handed with the spray bottle, I have to open the sunroof on the way to where I'm going & take the re-twists down in the car. You can also use a dab of aloe vera oil since it dries really fast.
