I need another GREAT Deep Conditioning Treatment
I am getting tired of the honey. I want to try something different now.
Re: I need another GREAT Deep Conditioning Treatment
I have tried the RoseMary one which was great but I was looking for a cheaper way. I may just have to go with it though. ... I haven't tried the white camellia....

yes, I forgot to mention it can be found at Sally beauty supply store, it isn't organic, but it works sooo well, it has become apart of my staple products, I just have to share!!LaToya28 wrote:psbest wrote:Where do I get the GVP Balm from?

EVOO and EVCO are great.
If you are looking to order online, I love Darcy's Botanicals Deep Conditioning Mask. Honorable mentions include Koils by Nature's shea aloe conditioner, Curl Junkie's DC and BeeMine's Bee-U-Ti-Ful DC. My hair literally feels like silk after rinsing out my hair with these conditioners.

I guess the honey does work. I just wanted to try something in the place of it.

You can try black strap molasses, agave nectar, honeyquat, glycerin and/or aloe vera gel/juice. They are all humectants like honey. Many use them in place of honey for various reasons.psbest wrote:I guess the honey does work. I just wanted to try something in the place of it.

I do a lot of homemade products.
I also use honey with EVOO and a small bit of Castor Oil and a few drops of Rosemary.
However, when I want to pump up the protein, I use:
2 large tablespoons - Full Fat Plain Yogurt
same portion of Yes to Cucumbers conditioner
2 teaspoons of Castor Oil (my hair loves this kind of oil)
1 tablespoon of EVOO
2 teaspoons of Aloe Vera Juice or gel
Mix it all together and apply it to my damp hair, my hair is really soft and I have very little shedding when I detangle everytime I use this. Keep in mind I have thick dense hair too so I use heavier oils.
Then I shampoo and put in my usual leave in. I swear I feel like I have bling bling hair when I am done!
