I tend to have an itchy scalp too. The Giovanni triple tea tree shampoo worked alright for me but I find that the Giovanni 50:50 Clarifying shampoo works a lot better because it really cleans my scalp. I shampoo with it every 2 or 3 weeks, other than that I just co-wash with whatever conditioner I have laying around. While my hair is damp I oil my scalp with my coconut/avocado/olive oil mix.

You might need to co-wash more than you shampoo and really work the conditioner into your scalp (maybe adding some oils to it).

HTH!

Maybe. However, the presence of dandruff means that the condition is more than protein sensitivity. She may have product build up or a condition that needs the treatment of a dermatologist. That is why I suggested an ACV rinse first. If no improvement, then she should see a dermatologist.

Thanks ladies. I've been using miss jessies shampoo and conditioner weekly and the curly meringue every week to do the rod sets on my hair. Then i put jane carter nourish cream daily on the curls and roots of my hair. (I had a little dandruff in the front of my head)
However over the last few weeks I introduced the giovanni tea tree shampoo and vo5 moisture milk and thats when i saw the build up of dandruff on my scalp. oh and i tried the kimmaytube concoction but with the cantu shea leave in and aloe vera juice but inner fillet. (Roots were still dry but relaxed ends was moist). Also now that i think about it I was some meds for a couple of days during that time too. EEEEkkkk, maybe thats what did it? I wet my hair, shampoo, rinse, ACV rinse, rinse, shampoo, rinse, DC etc.

You will be ok as long as you do the ACV rinse and rinse it out before your DC.
