Small, Med, or Large Twists? Empty Small, Med, or Large Twists?

Post by Miz B 21st November 2009, 6:24 pm

I know there was a similar thread posted about how to get the perfect twist out, but I wanted to find out if the size makes a difference? My hair seems to like medium to large twists for some reason. I'm not sure of my texture-think I'm a 4a/3c. Which do you prefer? and what results do you get? I also have a problem sometimes with my twists unraveling, not sure if it's because I still may have some perm left on the ends. My last perm was May 2008 and I don't plan on BC'n.

I like the appearance of smaller twists but I like the appearance of big twists for a twist out. lol But I love it all!

When I twist my daughters hair wet 1-2 twists start to unravel. But only a little so it so it's no big deal.

Love your avatar picture!!

I agree, when I do the big twists it's usually to wear them out and I love the outcome. I'm still experimenting, so I'm sure I will have a staple style in a minute! Thanks for the pic comment! It was a little blurry. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I see you have a blog, I'll visit.

As long as I'm twisting-out the next day (not wearing them out of the house), I love medium to HUGE twists, lol. They give me a chunkier twist-out. Small twists are better to wear out, but my hair doesn't like them...it gets tangled beyond belief!

I definitely prefer medium to chunky twist outs, like CurlyNikki, my hair tends to get tangled with the smaller twists.

my ends unravel also due to being relaxed. I usually wrap the ends with rolling paper and perm rods to keep them closed
